Do you get the feeling like halo 5 is dying?

Now that bo3 and fall out are out I see less of my friends that I’ve played mcc and h5 on. Is h5 losing steam here? I’m looking for ppl to play arena with. Hit me up gt same as waypoint user name.

It is not dying.

If you look at the population, yeah, it’s dying really fast.

Popularity is dying in a sense for sure, the massive popularity 1-Reach had is most likely never to return with 343 running things even though reach was terrible.

I’ll have to find the chart sometime, but if you look at CS:GO’'s population at launch… It wasn’t that great. The boost in popularity of the game didn’t happen until much much later, as new updates came out, positive word of mouth was spread, and the competetive scene grew. This could happen with Halo 5.

Lol not in the least bit. I find games well under 30 seconds.

No.

Yes.

Only if you let it. Only way for a game to die is for it to lose all popularity. Waiting for it to die is assuming an inevitability and the only inevitable thing is that 343 will stop any major support for it once Halo 6 comes out.

Stop worrying about it and play the game. Post on the forums. Support the community. Don’t worry about silly ideas like this.

in FFA yes

i play the same 12-15 people on rotation lol

Let me guess… you don’t back out of the lobby during most of those games. During the 30 second intermission between games, it keeps you with the people you just played against, unless they back out of course.

And to answer your question OP… nope. Not at all. Matches take mere seconds to find, and it’s still sitting as the most played game on Live.

I never have to wait on a match, I don’t think it’s dying.

I don’t see it dying. No problems finding a game once I can connect to the servers…they always seem to be too busy for me to connect to…

Funny how almost everybody says that hereon waypoint, considering the so perfect H3 had a smaller population four years after it’s launch than reach has now (and the new Xbox launched during those four years)…
I loved Reach and it’s my favorite Halo game followed by CE and 5 and my impression is that the population is more like moving temporarily because of the undoubtedly limited content, but as dlc (free!!!) drops in and content/modes/features get added a good amount of people will come back. The game itself is fine.

And don’t forget it’s getting close to Xmas so a few more people will join the virtual battlefield.

Seeing as a single FFA game doesn’t have 12-15 people in it, I don’t think that’s the point he’s trying to get across. I think he just really gets matched with the same people quite often.

Definitely not dying, i can find a game in any playlist in less than 1 min. Other great releases are here and so you will so the average gamer or achievement hunters go to those for a bit. But after the holiday season when everyone gets Halo for christmas and the other games that come out this time of year get completed, everyone will return to H5, COD, and Destiny.

I dont think it is dying, maybe it is sick but not dying. A lot of other games released right at the same time and it is only gonna get worse Star Wars coming out in a few days and the huge crowd of people switching over to that for multiplayer. None of this really seems to effect my multiplayer experience though, no problems finding matches and new people to play with.

No not at all, on xbox Halo is 2nd most popular right now which is to be expected.

My enthusiasm is falling off for sure.

Lack of playlists, lack of gametypes, lack of features. All things that should have been there at launch that are either missing altogether or are promised to be added at a later date. Feels like I payed for half a game and I’m expected to wait an unknown period of time for the rest to show up, some of which we don’t even know if they intend to deliver.

The entire game was made overly competitive to cater to some players when I’m sure the majority of Halo players are average at best and just play for fun with their friends after they get out of school/work. Most Halo games have had a few “hardcore” playlists for the “tryhards” to flock to allowing the rest of us to enjoy the game but in Halo 5 all playlists are geared towards competitive nonsense. Then Warzone is shoved down our throats as the craptastic alternative to Arena, as if that clusterfudge is supposed to satisfy everyone who used to enjoy playing social playlists in Halo.

I just want to have fun and so far Halo 5 is the most rage-inducing installment in the franchise.
