Do you feel like you are talking to a wall, and that anything 343 has already planned and decided with this game is set in stone?
Honestly no. IMO I have suggested a lot of good things all probably have gone un-noticed though.
Probably not. I just hope 343 is proud that the community has taken an active stand against AAs and gimmicks for Halo. 343 should be thrilled people want real Halo back, even if they don’t understand why people want real Halo back.
I know SOMEBODY is reading them. And Halo 4 is set to launch this year; not alot of time to get cracking on MY ideas. No, I have no power to change Halo 4. But, atleast we can share thoughts concerns with eachother. That counts for something.
And with any luck, your ideas might just be in there somewhere. Not alot has been revealed. Great minds think alike, even when they are miles apart!!!
Edit: I accidentally clicked “NO”. I’m sure if I was in charge, that right there would’ve cost an arm or a leg.
The developers have acknowledged that they see what is talked about in these forums. I bet they’re going to do their own thing, but I think we MAY be pleasantly surprised with how it turns out. I’m hoping that if they INSIST on having AAs, that they aren’t as overpowered and gamebreaking as they were in Reach (I’ve heard rumors of less significant AAs, like extra ammo in your clip… not SUPER gamebreaking like armor lock etc.)
If they havent noticed the size of thread the elite comunity has cooked up, i doubt they will notice anything… That thread is massive.
No, but obviously any “new” suggestions we have for Halo 4 are not going to get done.
This forum will be great post-launch, when we can suggest new gametypes and playlist changes. That’s the stuff they can listen to.

I can’t remember a new Halo game that has released with pleasant surprises. Every new Halo game tries to deviate from the core. It usually succeeds.
Between here and twitter, I think we are heard on a much bigger level than other companies. Whether they use suggestions is up to them though, and can be both a positive or negative outcome.

Halo 2: Dual Wielding, Vehicle hijacking, emblems, matchmaking
Halo 3: Theater, Forge
Halo Odst: Firefight
Halo Reach: Assassinations, mm characrter in campaign, sprint
At first, I did.
I complained about lots of things in Reach, such as a playlist without AA’s, removal of evade and jetpack in the casual gametypes and removal of bleedthrough.
The march update reinstated no-bleed and removed evade. So i have the feeling they listened to me.
So yeah, i don’t feel 100% powerless.
Though I still don’t understand why they just don’t add a perfectly balanced MLG-esque no AA playlist…
The arguments I bring to this forum, i share with most of the competitive community. And together, i do think we can have an influence. Even some small but significant tweaks in the game are a great achievement.
Ultimately, i want to be able to play Halo 4 at its best settings, without gimmicks. Something i can’t really do in Reach.
> Honestly no. IMO I have suggested a lot of good things all probably have gone un-noticed though.
I have made a thread about this once before. Its like 343 just forgot their fan base existed.
Where does it say that what you post in this forum will be taken into consideration?
I hope none of it is. You can’t make an argument for or against H4’s game-play UNTIL YOU HAVE PLAYED IT.
I don’t want any power over halo 4. I’d make a great game for me, but ruin it for so many others… Cuz I’m a selfish jerk.
Let developers do their job and stop trying to backseat manage development.
> Do you feel like you are talking to a wall, and that anything 343 has already planned and decided with this game is set in stone?
That’s kind of what you’re doing anyway. They actually don’t HAVE to take ANY suggestions. Their baby, they can raise it how they like.
But even so, asking or suggesting things should be noted for being just that - Suggestions. There’s no law or guarantee that they’re going to be used or even taken into consideration.
No, because I rarlly suggest things to the developers, I only feel powerless in the fact that I can’t go through and organize this forum board.
> You can’t make an argument for or against H4’s game-play UNTIL YOU HAVE PLAYED IT.
That statement is just simply not true. I could watch videos and read facts about gameplay, and realize MANY things that I like and dislike about it. You’re telling me I can’t form opinions based on seeing things, I have to EXPERIENCE it?
That’s like telling me I don’t know how bad stabbing myself in the gut would be until I do it. I don’t need to do it to know IT WILL SUCK.
> I don’t want any power over halo 4. I’d make a great game for me, but ruin it for so many others… Cuz I’m a selfish jerk.
It’s not the most positive way to put it, but I admire the brutal honesty b/c that’s how the competitive community sounds versus the casuals. Not the selfish jerks part but the acceptance that people want a game “for them”.
