Day one - you play like a monster and you can’t seem to miss shots even if you try. You snipe people left and right, your map positioning is on point and you just glide around the map like death itself.
Day two - you woke up as a moldy potato. Not only can you not hit an elephant with a rocket launched standing 2 feet away from you, but somewhere along the line your Spartan had a stroke and is now lost all basic motor-skills. Some guy jumps you and all you are able to do is watch him put 5 quick areal shots into your empty head, while trying to remember why you are where you are and what all those people dressed in red are so angry about.
I’m sure it’s not just me, but can someone tell me why I play like a boss one day, only to turn into a wet piece of celery the next.
Also feel free to share your pain. This is a safe Spartan place
Those awesome “day one” feelings are rare now. Really feelin crap in Super Fiesta, where I seem to draw nothing but basic loadout weapons, round after round. I don’t even feel like it’s random anymore as it seems like I almost never get a good power weapon.
I’ve had this happen before but usually my winnig streak lasts for a couple of days before that one day comes where I just can’t last in the battlefield.
This is absolutely the case, except it’s usually the other way around. I’m generally a potato, but I have found some inner Onyx-level potential which I don’t know how to tap into. That happened a couple of weeks ago, and I had no clue what was going on. The next day, it was gone.
Every time I log on it seems. I’ll be on fire one game then the next I’ll be hot garbage. On occasion I’ll be good the entire night and those are the ones where it’s hard to put the game down because I know I won’t be like that the next day. Either way, I’m not too worried about it if I am having a terrible night. Just the way Halo goes sometimes.
I’m not a very good player to begin with, but I contribute most of my bad games to lag. One game I hit everything I aim at the next game I get killed in 2 shots, running into walls and hit nothing.
There have been times where I couldn’t land a kill with the Railgun - my favorite weapon in the franchise - and I couldn’t do anything to help my team. I felt terrible.
I don’t think there’s a single halo player in existence who doesn’t have crappy games every once in a while, with the possible exception of pros who grind 24/7. Tbh, I find Halo 5 kinda draining after a while, like almost all of the playlists are really sweaty and keep you on your toes in some way and eventually it just tires me out. I’m far from a great player to begin with, but I generally do adequately and nowadays I’m at least able to narrowly avoid a negative k/d in most matches. But still, I have the odd AWFUL match every once in a while, and like I said earlier I always tend to gradually wind down as I play.

I’m pretty sure you’re right about super fiesta being rigged. it’s like the better you are doing, the worse weapons you seem to get…but random teammate/enemy that is currently going 15 and 1 gets to spawn with a nornfang and answer combo. lol
Got that feeling this morning lol I got a 200 point game of infection with a killionaire and for the next three games in a row I got infected within 20 seconds of the round starting I’m a VERY inconsistent player. Another time I decided to play some ranked with my 2 friends and a random I went 2/17 and got messaged after by the random telling me to get good and I suck lol
Yeah, it happens a lot. It doesn’t help that I got a new controller and the bumpers are really sensitive again. I’m always unintentionally hitting the right bumper which is my reload button, so I end up losing gunfights because I’m reloading in the middle of them.
In any sport/game you have good and bad days (even the pro’s) as far fiesta is concerned it is all about the weapons, I can be 3 and 7 playing rubbish then get a scattershot (Answer or other hot weapon) and in a couple of minutes be 10 and 7. You just have to hang in there for that one (hopefully more) weapon, if it dosen’t come along there is always another game/map to play.
This happens to me a lot.
Sometimes it’s not about days but games even. However at least for me it is all about energy, concentration and momentum.
Even in game I can do terrible the first part of the match, then I get the sniper and do an amazing headshot and when this happens I get an insane momentum and the enemies heads start to fly and we end up winning.
Alot of people have those types of days. When I do, sometimes I just like to step away from the game, maybe even just Xbox as a whole for the day, and try to do other things. Whether it be playing other games, hanging around, going for walks, etc., I take much needed Halo breaks.
