In warzone. When searching solo if there is ever a lobby that I match with at the same time of 6 of the sweaty players, those dominated (whatever they call themselves now) allegience heresy whoever players, the really good ones. I’m always against them.
My mmr can’t be that high. I’m less than 2.0 kD in warzone at about 1.9. And according to this site I win 53%. Pretty average for a experienced halo player.
I pay attention to a lot of the really good warzone players in the past year. Particularly Nas. I’ve matched against him 11 times since the fireteam restriction. 15 if we included 12 player fireteams, which I didn’t for obvious reasons as we would have both had our teams with us. I have never been put on his team. Not once. I’m always playing against him.
So why is this? I’m not even close to the level these guys can play at. Seriously, how does this hidden mmr work because quite frankly it has me confused.
I do run with a fireteam fairly often but I’m just talking about solo mm. I understand why 6 player fireteams would be matched against each other. I feel like I get punished for going into mm solo q whenever I do so. I imagine there’s others that experience the same.
The mmr is really weird. I notice people always get put against me but never with me when I play. It feels like the game wants the team of six to have the worst possible randoms most of the time
I get some of the same treatment. It’s making warzone not much fun anymore for me. it’s not as severe as your situation, but I’m getting sick of seeing all the good companies on the other team.
The MMR says it puts you with players of similar skill, sure it’s true for the enemy team but my team is usually terrible. Sometimes it feels like I decided to get a bunch of newbies on my ‘sweat’ team and play against HCS teams haha that’s how bad we get destroyed.
The mmr sucks. I rarely play in a fireteam and constantly get put with people that have no idea what they’re doing.
For some reason, i also seem to get placed into lost games alot now (jip sucks)
Haha i was just about to make a post abt this myself. Sitting with a matchmaking ban thanks to repeatedly teying to get away from the 6 man companies.
i can report the exact same thing where i never match in the same side as these companies.
makes for a very horrible warzone experience where u and possibly 1 other person have to hold up the entire team against a relentless assault of banshees and power weps.
defeats the whole point of using this game as a sort of relaxation after a hard day or work.
im increasingly playing reach and mcc and its been waaaaaaaaaay more satisfactory. Sure, u dont win all the time but the games are way more fun and balanced, and THESE GAMES HAVE A PROPER BTB INSTEAD OF THE GARBAGE that passes off as btb in halo 5.

Very well said, couldn’t have said it better myself.
I have the exact same issue, I keep matching people that are waaay too higher in skill than me, I keep playing agains Dominates, Heresy, Alliegance, 2Pros and so on and the reality is that the match is lost as soon as it started, it gets frustraiting aftera while.
Your mmr is going to be relative to the rest of the population though. Think about who searches warzone, either sweaty teams or noobs. Anyone between that isn’t going to be losing mmr to the noobs, but if you even remotely manage to keep up with the sweats, they have such insanely high mmr that it’s going to bring you up to a very high level as well. Warzone is probably the easiest place to “accidentally” get your mmr up to an excessive point.
And beyond that, the entire game is under the constraints of a heavily diminished population so matchmaking takes what it can get. 343 took too long to finish the game and people had already given up on it. I don’t get why this keeps happening over & over to multiple franchises yet they still don’t learn that games don’t keep their populations when released without half the features promised on the back of the case.
Back when warzone had 12 man fireteams from the same S.C. played together I did. I was the random joined to a 11 man team in warzone. I just went and got bosses while the rest farmed. They weren’t to happy I shorten the game.

That was the Moai (sp?) head from Easter Island. Not sure which movie it was from though, maybe the 2nd Night Museum.
The good movies of my youth.
