Do you even think 343 are halo fans?

With the quality of this game, the lack of keeping the core gameplay and generally how much cod has been rammed up the -Yoink- of halo 4, do even really think 343 are even fans of the halo series? Or do you just think that they are in it for the money?

Discuss and vote in the poll above.

-Yoink!- probably were the ones doing the ramming.

343 employees came from a lot of different developers to make Halo 4. They are fans

I believe 343 are fans, I don’t believe people like you are however… (:

They are fans I have to admit (i’m a hater) but half of them started playing halo when reach released and lets not forget most of them are huge cod fans…so ye. That’s why this game is bad. The other half started playing at halo 1/2 some 3 to.

Ah, i get it, because my opinion is different to yours im instantly not a fan? Its called “wondering what the communitys opinion is” so stop being so damn ignorent and learn to open your mind a little bit more to others opinions…

I’d be willing to bet that at some point leading up to the creation and release of Halo: CE, the following conversation took place in one form or another:

Person A: And that is the game, which we will call Halo: Combat Evolved

Person B: Do you think it will make money?

Person A: Oh hell yes.

Person B: Okay, good. Let’s make it then.

Well, they did outsource a HUGE amount of the game… But I still think they’re fans, albeit ones not doing so well at maintaining an entire universe.

I think they’re fans. I can’t honestly understand how they would have created such a good game if they weren’t.

>developers tried to add new ideas that weren’t in the franchise before
>therefore they aren’t real fans
>real fans like me want another halo rehash, like they do with super mario

seriously, OP?

Oh no don’t get me wrong, everyones opinions are different, I understand that.

My comment wasn’t because your opinion differs from mine, it’s just a copy from others. If I said “another complainer, what a noob” you’re reply would matter. But I’m not being “so damn ignorent”, you seem to not know what Halo is so you can’t contradict anyone on if they’re a fan of the franchise or not. Especially the people who now own it.

But listen, I’m not trying to start arguements and whatnot, just giving my opinion (;

No. Real Halo fans would never turn it into a CoD/Battlefield ripoff.

343 are fans of the checks they get from the Microsoft pay office. Hired hands to milk the Halo IP at -Yoink!- behest - their first game was proof of that.

Nope, 343i just cares about their paycheck.

They might be fans of poor communication though.

It’d suck to be one of the Bungie employees that stuck around to help make halo 4, just watching what you loved played around like a ball of yarn too scared to take it away and keep it safe…

343I just wanted to test their toys on it “hey lets try JIP!” “ok”

“Hey, lets make magnetism go up ***% so the noobs don’t miss!” other employee: “Ok, now the noobs won’t be sad, and the new 343I members don’t look like fools :D”

Me: Why the hell do i keep getting headshots?! (puts in halo 3)

It’s best to give a franchise to a developer that hates it. So that they won’t be biased when making it.

Just look at recent Aliens/AVP games and the HD collection for Silent Hill.

Truthfully, at first I believed most were fans that had come together to make something wonderful as a team, it had been my hope that Halo 4 would of been much better in a lot of ways.

The Campaign is nicely done, and the Multiplayer has alot of great qualities but alot is missing as well, I believe Forge and Custom games could of been overhauled completely and now I am not sure what their plan is with them.

I dont think however that Halo 4 is even similar to CoD or Battlefield, it has a lot of qualities that are unique to its own like previous Halo’s, yet I expected more from the game as a whole I suppose. I expected them and Certain Affinity to atleast know how to properly texture Forge objects where they would look realistic and match up with what is seen within the game and previous games and fiction.

Impact’s pieces truly look nothing like something you would see in a Space Station, except for the exclusive Impact objects. I am majorly disappointed in whoever did the Forge textures, they really blow honestly.

Yes, because it’s in the job description = must be a Halo fan. Also, these guys left their jobs at other triple AAA studios to make games exclusively for Halo.

Really, dont you haters have other games to play rather then constantly crying on internet forums?

I hear Far Cry 3 is pretty good, so boring coming to these forums and seeing thread after thread attacking the game, attacking the developers on a daily basis

I wouldnt want to engage with this community either

They didn’t do it for charity mate, -Yoink!- had a good pay offer on the end of that.

Totally agree when a developer doesn’t love the franchise or isn’t a fan of it they become objective so they make better decisions for the game.
