I personally think Halo 4 is the best Halo game yet. I love it’s sci-fi campaign mixed with its awesome multiplayer, spartan ops and forge mode.
Considering the things I value most in Halo are large campaign and multiplayer battles, awesome glitches and tricks, forging, and quality custom games, no. Halo 3 still holds that title. It’s story and scope are better, however, on par with Halo 2, which is pretty damn good.

Halo 4 feels more like a generic FPS set on a Sci-Fi Setting than Halo.
Halo 2 was the best Halo (Post TU) in Match Making, then Halo 3 and even Reach is way better than H4.

I like the weapon choices. I think they did good on that. The light rifle is one of the coolest weapons to be in Halo imo. It reminds me of Star Wars for some reason. And they brought back both the BR and the Carbine, which was great.
I dont like flinch. That was the worst decision they made. I also don’t like the killcams, and anything else that resembles CoD mechanics.
The game isn’t THAT bad. it just need some work done.
Halo 3 was Champ until ODST Buck stole the belt while Chief was sleeping. 
Not only is it not the best, it is actually the second worst.
The only Halo game worse was Halo Reach.
The game is really slow, the weapon spawns are stupid now, the maps are mediocre at best, the boltshot and camo are both broken, instant spawn ruins map control, there is no ranking system, and they introduced “Fish” style progression system which ruins the core of halo as a game where everyone starts off on even footing.
I won’t vote yes or no but I would agree that the Campaign is the best.Spartan Ops is Fantastic they just need to work on the Multiplayer and improve the forge not saying it sucks but it just needs more improvements.

Nothing beats Halo 2, and CE is more important than H4 is. But H4, to me, is the best game in the series since H2.
I would say it’s second to Halo 3 and on par with H2.

It had the best campaign since 2, honestly didn’t care for noble team, Halo 3 was dull and boring and ODST was good, but not great.
I really did enjoy the story aspect of the game and like the fact that all the expanded universe characters are in spartan Ops. But multiplayer just feels generic, dull and basically a grind fest.
Halo 2 still holds the crown for me, then 3 then I’d say 4, but just because of the story.
Its close between Halo 4 and Halo 2 for me.
Although I still have the fondest campaign memories from CE…

Halo 2 is the best IMO. Halo 3 was a bore that I played because my friends played TBH I thought Reach was better than 3 and I think 4’s on par with Reach.
I do not have a list of best and worst Halo games. FOr me, Halo franchise is is one big evolving uviverse with great story and and huge variety of gameplay. 343i delivered a game wich is absolutely worthy of this franchise, quality and proportions.
