Do you consider Halo 4 a Halo game?

If you look at a game like Gears of War that went through progressive changes throughout the series, but never actually destroyed its core values, they each still had the Gears of War feel to it.

-There’s no longer a ranking system (fact)
We now have useless numbers to indicate how much xp we’ve grinded through in games
-Gameplay is broken (fact)
The gameplay is incredibly inconsistent through ordinance drops, gun bounce, and bullet spread. So regardless of if you feel that every weapon is balanced, which you’d have to be crazy to feel that way, the randomness breaks it.
-Lack of custom game options
Simply said, more options were removed than added on to

So technically yes, you bought a game with Halo in its title, but does it really feel like the Halo that we’ve known for years? Change is fine, but 343 distorted Halo as much as Bungie distorted Halo in their transistion from Halo 3 to Halo: Reach. An expirimental idea that shouldn’t be mainstreamed in a core Halo game.

Do you consider Halo 4 to be a Halo game?

Yes I do.

Obviously not.
It is clearly a Pac-Man game.

Feels more like a Mario and Zelda crossover to me.

Actually, now that I think about it, it’s blatantly obvious that is is a carbon copy of Frogger.

For the record, GoW1 is vastly superior to both of its sequels.

That being said, Halo 4 doesn’t even come close to the level of the original trilogy.

It’s a shame you two haven’t meantioned Shaq Fu or Battletoads yet

I have noticed a lot of people have mixed feeling on Gears of War. Personally I didn’t like 2, but found 3 amazing. However all of them feal like GoW games, that’s the entire point I was trying to push.

Been playing Halo campain since Combat Evolved, and while I cannot give insite into Halo 4 online camparison. {never played online until Halo 4} I do know the campaign play and feel of CE, Halo 2, and 3.

IMHO… Yes, Halo 4 is Halo.

A true Halo game made it difficult to turn off my console. With Halo 4, I can’t even be bothered to plug it in again.

Yes. Very much so.

People just dont like to admit it.

It blows my mind that you, like me, played halo since CE, and yet you found the Halo 4 campaign to be good. If you could elaborate on that for me I’d genuinely like to hear why.

I know the feels

I just threw down a few reasons why it isn’t. You’re going to have to try a lot harder to sway my opinion than bringing in a “No, you’re wrong” mentality.

Yeah man, why wouldn’t I?

No, it isn’t.

It’s a sequel to Reach and nothing more.

It may have halo on the box, but this is not a halo game. It plays nothing at all like previous games. That is the problem if it played anything like the original trilogy then i wouldnt have a problem.

it has potential, and 343 is taking to long to realize it.

> it has potential, and 343 is taking to long to realize it.

I only feel like it has potential because it’s a better play than Reach. I honestly like sprint, but I feel like everything else we’d be better off without.

I have played since Halo: CE

Halo 4 is a Halo game. I generally like it too.

It just hasn’t reached it’s full potential yet.
