One of the things that fascinate me about this character is that he is somewhat of a ghost. A character who is surrounded by mystery, in both his intentions & how he operates in the shadows. He is a pretty interesting character in the Halo lore. Do you believe he will play a role in Halo 6 ? Could he play the role of Offensive Bias this time around & Cortana be playing his ? I certainly think he’ll get mentioned if the logic plague becomes or is part of the story and whats going on with Cortana. If he appeared I think its more likely that Chief will inquire about the nature of the Logic Plague and how to potentially cure Cortana of it. Since I think at the end Bias did free himself from the Graveminds influence.
“Oh look. Theres this other ancient AI who betrayed its makers over an interpretation of the Mantle. Gee that sounds awfully relevant.”
Halo tends not to simply be a case of winning through brute force as it puts emphasis on the player character being a hero as opposed to giant armies clashing. So I suspect that curing Cortana of the Logic Plague is how that would happen.
I think the story could head that way. Lots of people were led to believe that’s who Chief was looking for in the 2013 E3 trailer
I believe Mendicant Bias was destroyed in Halo 3 when the ring damaged the Ark

He wasn’t.
He probably will play a part in fighting against Cortana, and if the Chief turns to him to provide a means to cure Cortana of the Logic Plague (if that’s whats wrong with her), then this could cause a clash with Locke, who wants to destroy her, thus setting up their rivalry as portrayed in the marketing campaign.

If they bring Mendicant Bias back I’d hope he would be a Gravemind-like character in the sense that he would always be watching the player, throwing in random dialogue.
