Everything about this game, 343’s responses (or lack of responses) gives me the impression that they diminished respect for their community members and their customer base. It’s getting harder and harder to shake that vibe every day. Not to mention the near daily ramrodding of store crap as if that’s the most important thing to work on in the game. But, what the hell do I know. What do you all think?
I think that the dent heads in their marketing department as well as the smooth brains who deal with microtransactions internally should be fired and have their credentials taken away, apparently they didn’t learn anything in college seeing as everything is still a nightmare, so it’s not like they deserve them anyway
I’m thinking the game will be in an acceptable state probably 2 and a half years down the line or so. You know that time that should have been dedicated to bringing us a full gameplay experience rather than the internal project management merry-go-round that happened for 7 years because of incompetent pencil pushers and soulless business types.
Absolutely not and I CANNOT believe they charged a full $60 for their rushed sub par unfinished cut campaign with hardly6 what anyone can call cutscenes after the initial 30 minutes. As for the free to play… It’s free so I… DURRR of course I feel betrayed free or not none of us asked for it to go F2P and especially not when the MP is this broken and the worst performance I’ve ever seen in Halo. What a joke of a game and some fans still defend this careless Developer.
Where 343i are concerned I’ve never felt valued as a customer/member of the community.
Right on, very true ever since they took over the title I have to say it’s been nothing pleasant that’s for sure.
By far the best response to 343 Industries so far with today’s announcement
https://twitter.com/SII_MasterChief/status/1488725140670144516
Regardless, The game was clearly released unfinished ; Anyone who say’s other wise is just fooling themselves…
343 Industries had :
-
Halo 4
-
Halo 5
-
Halo : The Master Chief Collection
All to use as Templates to improve and perfect Halo Infinite during its development stage.
Instead, it seems like 343 Industries only choose to listen to the “ Forerunner Team “ for feedback…
- ( For those who don’t know, The “ Forerunner Team “ was comprised of Halo Youtube content creators, Pro Players and Twitch Streamers who got to “ Test “ Play Halo Infinite from the Campaign, Forge and Multiplayer in secret back in January 2021, MONTHS before the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Insider program / Alpha build of Infinite was even announced ; These players are also credited in Halo Infinite’s End Credits )
- Halo Content Creators
The Halo Youtube Content creators went into the Insider Program and made videos like it was there first time playing Infinite, garnering tons of views and revenue.
Now these Halo Youtube Content Creators are backtracking there statements like hypocrites and making videos on how 343 Industries let the fan base down from Gameplay, weapon balancing, Micro-Transactions and What Halo Infinite’s sandbox is now like they didn’t know or have an idea on what Infinites launch would be and what kind of backlash the game and 343 Industries would face…
Some of these Halo Youtube Content Creators are making these hypocritical videos, posting them to Youtube, then on Twitter, Praising 343 Industries like Halo Infinite doesnt have an issues.
- Halo Pro Players
Halo Infinite is basically designed for the " Pro Players “ ; From The Micro-Transactions, Halo Championship Skins ( HCS ) to in general how the game plays ( Multiplayer )
How so?
If they feel that a weapon is broken / to overpowered, they literally can dictate if 343 Industries Nerfs that weapon, Sets a cool down on the weapon for map respawn’s, or out right have the weapon completely removed from the weapon pool on maps ; Not to mention, they can have a multiplayer map completely removed from a game mode or playlist.
How the armor abilities / equipment work goes in favor to how pro players like, some of these “ pro players “ have stated on Twitter, they prefer Halo 5’s style of gameplay with Spartan Abilities ; Regardless, the gameplay is designed for them.
The Halo Championship was the first event 343 Industries had and was the reason why Infinite had an early launch, this way to get funding and views in ; The first few weeks of Infinite was nothing but the HCS “ atmosphere “.
What was the main selling point for the Micro-Transaction / In game shop?
The Halo Championship / HCS Skins for $10.00.
Meanwhile the main core audiences began to start the oven to roast 343 Industries on the In game shop prices, Multiplayer lack playlist, Desync issues, ECT. ECT. All the issues plaguing the game NOW.
- Twitch Streamers
During the time frame of the HCS “ Event “, 343 Industries and those who were / are still are defending 343 Industries ALL relied on the Twitch Viewer Number to state that “ HALO WAS BACK “… No, a new Halo with a TON of issues was just released and 343 Industries, “ Pro Players “, Halo Content Creators and those who were too blind and still are blind ; Were doing everything they can to hide the glaring flaws that began to plague the game.
- Straight Fact
Halo Infinite has the worst launch for any Halo title, that includes the MCC, but to be fair, what most people tend to forget, That the MCC was and still is the only title to launch with 4 - 5 games on 1 disk / “ File “, these games were mainly imports with updated graphics, MINUSE Halo 2 Anniversary, which is absolutely STUNNING, Blur studios should make movies and remaster every game… But, it was pretty obvious that the MCC was going to be flawed…
Halo 5, believe it or not, the only REAL backlash it faced was no forge on launch, as bad as no CO-OP was, the backlash was pretty low with that issue.
As bad as everyone who claims Halo 5 is the worst ; WELL, Hate to break it to ya’ll… Halo 5 has a review of 4.1, with Halo MCC at a 4.3 and Halo Infinite at a 3.3 on Xbox, So in comparison, Halo 5 is a better game based on reviews ; Remember, Halo 5 got SO much hate, but now, you have players flocking back it.
Sorry about the long post OP @Sev808 ; But to answer your question, Yeah… NO, I personally do not feel like a valued customer / Investor / Consumer for Halo Infinite.
I have hope for Halo Infinite and wish 343 Industries gets there act together ; But my bar is raised high and I know 343 Industries won’t be able to reach it, Not for another 3 - 5+ Years when they really prove themselves to the community, ( NOT ME ) Im just 1 person, but with all the backlash, 343 Industries really does need to bend the knee to community if Halo Infinite is to be successful.
Here is a Potato for the long post.

Never apologize for a long post with me, I truly appreciate a long detailed read.
No, I don’t feel valued. There’s nothing to do here and all of the price tags are ridiculous.
I think the biggest cause for feeling undervalued as a customer to me comes down to the campaign’s armor lockers. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the decision to call them ‘armor lockers’ and not put any actual armor in them. I get the need to sell items in the f2p multiplayer, but if you’re charging a full $60 for the campaign alone the least you could do is toss in some armor for those willing to pay full price.
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Ha.
No.
I feel like I’m playing an ad that’s reskinned as a halo game but it’s running on Walmart’s Internet
Nope! I would if the the game worked !!!
I’ve never felt 343 have been competent at developing a Halo.
I said, as soon as I saw Halo 4 Master Chief, I knew they had no idea what they were doing.
As predicted, Halo 4 and 5 flopped, MCC crashed into flames upon release and the only reason I’m still here is that Halo Infinite has great gameplay and the customisation (whilst completely whack) is good in the sense that you can make your Spartan look very unique.
I haven’t really felt valued as a Halo player since the days of Reach. MCC does a pretty good job of it, but thats really just a glorified global browser for all of the old Halo FPS games.
Honestly? This game doesn’t even value itself. It’s riding on nostalgia for the salability of its battle pass— a la Halo Reach— instead of trying to further its own identity.
That whole “multiplayer narrative” that was mentioned in some old articles? The one seemingly introduced by the tutorial mission? Uh, are we just not going that route?
It’s like they’re trying really hard to make Halo Infinite less of its own thing and more of everything else. Hell, it’s been 3 months, and every associated event has nothing to do with the story.
Honestly I was super skeptical for the past few years (despite being thrilled by the first announcement trailer,) then I decided to change my attitude and be as open to it as I could. I tried to get hyped for it like Halo 3 and it worked. The first night that I played the game I was pleasantly surprised by the music, the opening cutscene, and the voice acting.
Then the next day I woke up and got into the open world and all of it fell apart. The open world that was supposed to justify the price tag was just empty and unimaginative. That, with the progression, the silly cosmetics, and a whole variety of other missing content, just left a sour taste in my mouth. When cyber showdown came out with exclusively over the top cosmetics, I stopped playing the MP as well. I played campaign on gamepass but thought I’d buy it to support. I won’t give them that $60 until they seriously update the campaign in a major way. Same with MP, I won’t be back unless they add real progression along with a few other things.
As someone who’s been dealing with 343 Industries since 2011, this is business as usual. They get us on their side when they need our money before becoming condescending A-holes once they get it.
Having that been said, the game itself is the product of lessons learned. It’s clear that a part of them wants to please us. And while I can’t speak for everyone, the campaign is pretty much my dream Halo.
Nope you’re WRONG this game is perfect the way it is you just want to complain to complain!!!
I feel so valued they let us pay to beta test their game just for them to ignore the results of the beta.
I love that they outright ignored 99% of the feedback because it wasn’t just “343 is the best developer in the world”.
