Do you agree?

So this game is kind of unbalanced in a lot of ways. It’s actually a really fun game and you can see some passion and effort went into it. Some decisions are in my opinion kind of questionable though.

First of all, the ranked skill groups are completely and utterly broken. A lot of people below high diamond are not even close to the rank they should be. I am a prime example of this. This completely breaks what the game should be about. It should be about facing challenges that hone your mind to play better the next game. Either you get destroyed or you destroy, I very rarely get a good and even fight. There is nothing to gain from this. There’s a few reason I think it’s this way and there’s a few ways I think it could be possibly fixed. So here’s why I think it’s broken:

  • A lot of people leave early to mid game when they assume the game is lost - Some leaders are so much better then others that some almost become completely unviable if you face a player of fairly equal skill - The lack of access to most leaders and thus less strategies to work with if you don’t want to pay more money which a lot of people don’t (the game is really expensive for it’s age if you want the full game) - If the game goes on for long enough spamming air without any real thought or strategy is the norm and the leaders with the better leaderpowers usually wins by thenHere’s some things I think might help unbreak it a bit.

  • Implement harsher punishment for leaving to prevent it and give players the ability to make a vote to surrender so everyone in the game can agree to give up instead of one guy deciding for the whole team (for example in a 2v2 both people should agree and in a 3v3 atleast 2 out of 3 people should agree) - Implement some sort of ingame currency system for purchasing leaders and add new leaders, this would both bring back old players and entice new players by giving them some sort of progression (might be a lot of work and I don’t really think this is ever going to be a thing but just throwing out an idea). - Nerf Vulture nuke aoe or damage to help Xbox players (Splitting your army works just fine on pc but on Xbox things get complicated) - Buff speed and/or hp of Wolverines to make them a bit more viable (This and the Vulture nerf would be minor changes but I think it might see a positive effect) - Nerf Decimus Siphon so braindead people like me can’t cheese their way through the ranks before they’ve barely learned the gameSecondly, the servers. I don’t have to explain myself here.

Thirdly, Steam. Undoubtedly adding the game to Steam would boost the player population.

It’s either something along the lines of this or just make a new Halo Wars but I doubt we will see it very soon considering the upcoming releases of MCC and Infinity. Simple DLC and balance changes wouldn’t clash with that.

No dev is going to read this but I want to to start a conversation about it anyway. Like I said, it’s a good game, it’s a fun game. I just think the wierd balance choices and the multiple paywalls for all the content keeps a lot of both new and old players away. I’m sure atleast some part of this community thinks the same.

I am absolutely confident this could be a really popular game if it was a little bit less frustrating. It just needs to get and give some more love. I hope you agree.

I agree. That was a lot lol.

I definitely agree with the server issues being a problem. I personally don’t think air is op but I think wolverines could use a small damage buff at the moment. I would argue that Decimus should stay as is to let less experienced players be able to win once in a while due to the small skill it takes to play Decimus

Yeah the servers are reaaaallly frustrating. There’s no way to count the number of times I’ve missed my leaderpowers because all his units became doped up Usain Bolts or the number of times I’ve had my my entire army destroyed because every unit I’ve had fell asleep.
