It’s the gametype I like the less in Arena. Strongholds and CTF are great, and Slayer of course, but I feel that the maps are just not made for Assault…just my opinion, I prefer it in the past Halos

Assault is good but it takes too long when people dont play it right. I hate when teammates grab the ball and rush the enemy base like its an instant goal if you get to their base. All that does is gives the enemy the ball and one guy down on your team.
Assault maps are pretty terrible though with weapons and what not.
In Halo 5, Assault and CTF are the ONLY game modes I really like. Every now and then I’ll enjoy a game of slayer. Warzone is OK, but has gotten really boring lately.
I like Halo 5s assault better than previous Halos. I hated being a slow target, but I miss the actual explosions lol

Games like this are always full of idiots. I have gotten the ball, taken out the enemy team, nearly scored by myself, died, and gotten pissed cause my team is goofing off at home base for no reason. I have had people drop the ball or not pick it up when there was only a split second left to score. I don’t care if you are about to die. Just hold the ball for .000009 seconds to win. People don’t know how to kill with ball, or they are incapable of choosing a safe/fast route to take to enemy base.

I love assault. It’s probably my favorite standard objective gametype.
Assault is great! And the H5 version of it is fresh. I think the maps work fine for it. It’s learning how to play it to control what happens as best you can, just like you do in CTF. It’s just in Assault you have to sort of go about it the opposite way. since you are taking the bomb to their base. lol.
Assault is pretty great. It almost feels like king of the hill with the time it takes to arm the bomb, but it’s team based and competitive with goals. Weapon spawns threw me off at first, but they got better. I enjoy assault as long as it’s not Assault, Assault, Assault, Asaault, Slayer, Assault, Capture the Flag, Strongholds, strong holds, strong holds… you get the point.

Assault is fun once your team learns the strategies involved, until then it is a nightmare. And I love assault.
Ive seen people try to “pull” the enemy flag when the enemy has the ball…
One of my favourite gametypes. Especially on some of the refresh maps.
I think strongholds is junk, prefer to do assault.
Haha. I madr the exact same post yesterday. I totally agree! The maps are not made for assault at all. Assault used to be fun, but in H5 none if the maps have been made to play assault.
I love assault, but they need to look at the spawns. It’s really obvious on Fathom. If they have your slide controlled and have one person looking at your vat, you end up spawning in their slide. It’s then impossible to get back in time to stop them scoring. Sure, reward good map control, but not to the point where it makes it impossible for the other team to get back into the game.
