I mainly play competitive modes. I wasn’t surprised to see the AR in the hardcore playlist at launch. We want the comp modes to change as little as possible, but I did think it would change over time. I thought after the first championship we will settle on a new setting. Now I’m pretty okay with the AR in there and think it should remain. I think I still vote to remove the radar, but even that isn’t that big of a deal to me. I’m mainly interested in what Arena players think? Does the AR bother y’all?
it does not bother me one bit actually. its always good to have on hand, plus, if a SMG is around i try and switch it for that anyways
The AR is a very solid weapon. I love having it as my secondary in Arena, even in Champion FFA.

Whoa, nice one. I’m fine with the AR being in Arena. It’s a great weapon.
It feels good. They finally made it into a viable weapon. Before it was pretty much useless (everyone remembers throwing it away in CE and 3, and most of the time in Reach)…but now its actually a useful weapon.
I think assault rifle/pistol starts makes halo 5 much better than it otherwise would be.
AR is good in Arena
It’s actually useful and viable so I think it should stay. I can kill a power weapon user with it if I dodge and jump right.
