2017 will be the tenth anniversary of Halo 3 which was released on September 25, 2007. But with the recent news that Halo 3 wouldn’t get the anniversary treatment, everyone is now demanding for it, spammed the recent Halo 15th Anniversary livestream with H3A, and saying “H3A OR RIOT”. My question is, do WE really need a Halo 3 Anniversary? For me, it’s not necessary. Halo 3 on the Master Chief Collection is already perfect with 1080p and 60 FPS on a 2007 game, including ODST, another game the uses the Halo 3 engine. I would like to know everyone’s thoughts on this. Thanks!

Personally I never saw the allure, but I only bought CEA when my original disc stopped working so…
I don’t really see what a H3A could bring in. We already got a 60fps SP and MP in the MCC so other than improved textures and some fine cutscenes it wouldn’t really be anything new, or not nearly as many “new” stuff as the CEA and H2A versions.
I get the nostalgia, but you’re just a disc swap away from playing Halo 3 almost like it was 10 years ago with the MCC. (Almost meaning improved framerate and visuals but a lack of the old customization and ranking system as examples given)
Do we need it? No.
Some of us are clearly more vocal about wanting H3A, but I honestly wouldn’t be too broken up if it doesn’t end up being a thing.
Sure, I would love to have it, but I can see 343i/Microsoft deciding to avoid H3A and focus on Halo 6 or whatever else.
However, I wonder if they could just outsource H3A in such a way that it wouldn’t take away from time and resources at 343. I’m not sure how budget works with outsourcing.
Again, as someone who loved Halo 3 for what it was, I’d greatly appreciate H3A being made. But as someone that has the ability to reason, I’ll keep my pitchfork in the closet if things don’t go that way.
I’d rather have a standalone H3A to avoid having to deal with MCC.
We don’t need it. That won’t stop people from wanting it, of course.
If it’s done, I’d rather have a “definitive” edition instead of an anniversary edition. Definitive doesn’t require it releasing on a 10yr anniversary date, they can make it and release it when it’s convienent
If we don’t get a Halo 3A then at the VERY LEAST can we get some Blur cutscenes for H3 and HCEA! And ODST. When playing the MCC campaigns in order the amazing lifelike cut scenes midway through the trilogy feel out if place or rather the other cutscenes feel outta place.
DO we need it No halo 3 doesn’t look that bad even 10 years later. But would we like it Yes

This actually doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea.

I feel adding Blur cutscenes into CEA would be a bit jarring to some people.
Don’t get me wrong, CE Anniversary looks nice and all, but the switch from Blur to Anniversary visuals would be such a huge drop in quality that it would feel awkward.
Same goes for H3 and ODST, but those games haven’t even been remastered yet.
H2A has already set the bar for Halo remastering.
I think the other games would have to follow suit pretty closely for Blur cutscenes to work well.
No, we don’t need it.
Yes, most of us want it very badly and it would be awesome.
I never really wanted one. It would take away from development form Halo Wars and Halo 6. I would rather focus on new content instead of upgrading old content that is just fine as it is.
Honestly, for a 2007 game, Halo: 3 has really good graphics already. Not to mention the 1080p 60fps offered with the MCC. So I don’t really think we need it. Would it be cool to have access to? Yes, of course. But it’s not something we absolutely need.
I’m hoping we get another “ODST” type game to hold us over until 2018 halo 6 launch
I just want a well running Halo 3 on Xbox One, to be honest I don’t care either way about graphics, although it would be great it they were touched up and if the cutscenes were done by Blur like in H2A.
I just think they should do it as it would be the last in the original trilogy and then they could even have a complete “Halo: The complete trilogy remastered” pack, and I’d buy it (if they had all the games separate of course).
What there’s going to be halo 3 anniversary I would hate if they made an anniversary of halo reach cause if they did they would make reach terrible like they did wit halo 4
I want a working and fully content and features filled h3a as much as those who want it given how mcc and halo 5 was and is, but when watching this video from act man about what an h3a could do with mcc population etc makes me wonder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG6rs9YWPVw

I just want it for the Blur cutscenes lol
Yes we do. I’d be more excited about a remastered H3 than Halo 6 altogether.
Need it? No.
Would I love to have it? Absolutely.

Also what this guy said.
