Do we need to own MCC to join the Flight program?

As the title says, will we need to own MCC (either on Xbox or PC) to be able to join the Flight program? I know MCC isn’t available for purchase (on PC) as of yet, but this is something I recently became curious about. I haven’t done any Flights for Halo yet and with the PC flights coming, I’d love to be as prepared as I possibly can be for when (hopefully) I get to help out.

Cheers in advance!

For PC, no. I believe the same goes for Xbox but I’m not so sure. It wouldn’t make sense to be required to own the PC version when it’s not even out yet to be part of the flights (especially since Reach is first up in the set of staggered releases).

Definitely not. Like you said: MCC isn’t even available for PC (or Xbox One afaik) yet. So how could anyone possibly own the game before it’s released or even available for pre-order? They would have also made it very clear if we needed to pre-order the game in order to participate in flights, anything else would bring terrible backlash.

This is akin to an Alpha/Beta testing program, which are common on PC (idk anything about testing programs on console or if they’re common in any way). You will be given access to download and play the game for the time frame they choose and then lose access when that time frame has passed.

Cool, it was more of a precautionary thing on my end, I knew it was probably a bit silly but I thought I would ask anyways, cheers guys!

Don’t think so.

No, you won’t need to own MCC right now in order to join in flights. Once flighting is over though, you will need to own it on order to play the updates.
