No, sales shouldn’t affect if you enjoy a game or not. This game could of only sold 100 copies, but i wouldn’t of cared as im enjoying the game.
Sure, why not. Also the game needs a population counter so that i can find out why I come across the same people every day in Warzone despite backing out to main menu.
No, I play games that sell millions, and I play games that have a smaller fan base, it makes no difference to me at all, I do not understand why some people are so obsessed with the sales figures of games they play.
The population of a multiplayer-focused game can be highly important, considering that there is a reliance/dependancy on community content to keep this game persisting in to the future, as is the case with all popular PC titles. Without new content, people end up discussing things to death, running out of things to say and devolving in to it’s own seperate thing- for better or worse, which is not in the interests of a developer such as this one. As large as the lore of Halo is, the conclusion of Halo 5 rams people in to speculation where nobody truly knows what’s going to happen. Then it just spirals in to the ways of every other general fandom out there because there’s no clear understanding of what’s to come, which I feel is a problem with 343i overall - there’s a lot of talking, but not much being said if you get what I mean.
Idc about sales charts, doesn’t affect the game
I have a mind of my own so no I don’t need a sales chart or twitch views or random website stats or angry youtuber review or anything else. I play a game and if I like it I play it. No Halo game has ever disappointed me, well except MCC botched launch but at least they fixed it mostly. I have loved every Halo title and enjoyed the changes and different gameplay. LA Noire was hated by pretty much every one but I played it and after i got used to it and figured out how the game worked I loved it. It had one of the best script and storyline of its generation. Murdered Soul Suspect got some bad reviews but when I played it I enjoyed it as well, awesome story line as well. All these divas around here posturing about sales and twitch views are probably the type of people who would follow any trend as long as it was popular enough.
Do we need it? No. But it would certainly be interesting to see. Especially for those interested in seeing how the backlash of Halo 4 and MCC and the praise of the beta would have affected sales.
