Ive heard many mixed opionons about wheater they like the game… I myself love it but, lets settle this once and for all. from what we’ve seen what do you think?
It’s still in a rough state sometimes but that’s what these flights are for.
I like it, absolutely though. And I haven’t liked a Halo game since Reach. It’s going in a good direction and if they keep on track I think it will shape up to be the Halo sequel 3 deserved.
I love most of it. The art is beautiful, the sound design is some of the best in the industry, the maps are fun and distinctly different, the story direction seems promising, the equipment and weapons are badass. I just want the optimizations to be there for launch, and for the controller experience to be more consistent with prior titles, or even just other current fps games, as it feels a bit too frustrating currently. Still very excited for the game.
I love it.
Yea, I think it’s great. Every flight has left me wanting more and making it harder to go back to MCC. I really love MCC but I want to play this even more.
Really looking forward to access to more customization down the line like Spartan ID.
Well so far I’m liking it a lot more than 4 and 5! There’s a few minor things that have already been mentioned in other threads that I have issues with but it is an improvement from 5.
I’ve been loving it so far. I think if 343 keeps going on the path they’re on, they’re gonna nail this one.
I just wish we could get more posts like this about what everyone likes and has had fun with so far instead of the endless stream of aim assist or whatever the hot complaint of the day is. I swear most of this community thinks they’re playing the final build of the game.
I think at launch it’ll do better than 4 and 5, which is an improvement over all. 4 and 5 weren’t the most successful games, and are generally dislike if not hated by different parts of the Halo player-base. I think Infinite is working to achieve an interesting middle-ground with the newly introduced facets of the game and the old aspects. I knew it was good sign when they changed the art style to look more like classic Halo, but just enough difference that there’s something new to see.
Didn’t like the first flight but this past weekend was awesome. PVP and double the framerate will do that.
I’ve really enjoyed the last flight. It took me a moment to reapproach how to play the game, as I was trying to play it like H3 or Reach, and once I kinda reset and learned the new meta it really felt great. I’m really happy with the AR being a competent, reliable, weapon after 17 years of BR starts. I prefer precision weapons but its so refreshing that there are other competitive options instead of being shoe-horned into just the BR/DMR. It gives this Halo more identity and approachability. I can’t imagine their F2P model working very well if new comers are forced to only use BR’s or get melted.
The aiming does feel a bit off but after some small tweaks I was doing just fine. Lots of people said they were having issues tracking or using the S7 but I had no issues no scoping headshots at long ranges. I don’t think the aiming feels bad or like it needs works, I just think its a departure from the norm and people are going to have to adjust, just like with the AR being an actual contender in the weapon sandbox.
Map design seems to be really on point. I don’t care for the aesthetics of Bazaar but its a really solid map, same with Recharge, Live Fire and Behemoth. All feel varied and thematically different, which is such a nice change from playing nothing but Forge maps.
The customization process is disappointing but I feel like that is mainly driven from having to compete being a F2P game. I’m not stoked but at the same time I’m not too concerned. If you’ve played any F2P game in the past you know what to expect when it comes to monetization.
I feel like this build of Infinite is really solid, and I hope 343 can keep true to their vision, especially now with getting all sorts of feedback on just about everything.
I enjoyed it over all quite a bit when I played on good hardware. It has some things that need to be tweaked, but over all I like it.
It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty damn fun still. Looking forward to playing the campaign and seeing the final release.
Mostly worried it’s going to be lacking content too much at release. Halo 5 had a similar thing going where they added stuff post launch, as well as a few of the other games.
Co-op campaign is a big deal to many people but forge is definitely a big part of keeping the multiplayer fresh. My bet is we won’t see stuff we’ve come to expect/love like firefight, grifball, action sack and I’m not quite sure if the “live service” counts for the campaign as well.
We know stuff like a ranking system and assassinations have are missing. Even with the extra year I’m sure it will release with bugs and issues and missing content.
I love what I’m seeing in the flights. The trailers are nice. The game is fun even though it needs some tweaks and the look and sound part is perfect.

LOVE IT.
I’ve already put in two free days for December 9 & 10 so yeah I’m liking it a lot!
(Yes I know the release date is the 8th but I’m figuring that’s considering US time and not EU)
