I’m curious if we’ve heard what it takes to be temporarily banned and what the time frame of the ban is? I keep running into quitters on my team and once in a while the other team. Most of these players quit after they die their first time or 5 seconds after the match starts. It’s getting a bit old already because each time the enemy team begins to camp constantly and these games end due to a time limit.
The list includes “quitting matches, betrayals or team killing, idling, intentional suicides [and] excessive disconnects”. Repeatedly engaging in any of the above is enough to earn a ban and be prevented from the matchmaking arena. Additionally, the length of the ban is dependent on the misbehavior, “so continually killing your teammates to steal the Sniper Rifle will quickly lead to long timeouts from matchmade play,” the team wrote.
Anything from an hour to a day, and if you keep doing it, they increase it for you! A week to a month! Just depends.

Thank you for the detailed response!
Nope
If you quit too many times in a certain time frame then you receive a temporary suspension from the that playlist. We don’t know the exact parameters before the bans start kicking in.
if you do get the cool down its a ban from all playlists, i got one for 10 minutes as my first one for 2 teamkills
I keep running into quitters. Two of my teammates quit early in a Slayer match. We fought back and got within 3 kills but they pulled away once they got the Hydra and Sniper. Not much we could do.
Whatever the penalty is it should be harsher. It’s obviously not working with the amount of quitters I am seeing.
If you don’t quit frequently, it really doesn’t matter.
I normally don’t quit games, but i pulled out of one because one dude quit immediately, and another was just standing there shooting giving our spawn position away. He was 0-0-9 by the time i was sick and tired. They kicked me for that. So far its been five minutes… i hope its no more than ten!!

That’s the only thing I have issues with. The banhammer is alright, but I’d like to know how it works!
Yeah a lot of quitters I’ve noticed. Does getting disco by shaky servers count towards a ban hammer?

'fraid so… 'least for now…
Reasonably well.
The part that bothers me about this is that today I got stuck in a match that was 4-3, then 4-2, and the other team was pretty good so we got crushed pretty badly. It feels -Yoink-, so I quit. I’m potentially punished because I don’t want to get stuck on the short end of a 4-2 where the other team is actually working together and we have no chance. I don’t even know if it’s something they can possibly address, but the ones getting crushed like that and quitting shouldn’t get any penalties at all. I’m trying to work on getting my k/d to something reasonable, but when that happens it really messes me up.
