(I asked this while replying to a different form, but would like to see if anyone has other answers.)
In multiplayer thrust was just an pick up (which I liked), but In the recent campaign overview at around 4:29 the player seems to use thrust WHILE having the grappleshot selected as their equipment. Thus, my question: Do we have thrust permanently back in campaign?
I have nothing external to support this opinion, it’s just based off my observations of various gameplay trailers.
I think in campaign, your going to keep your equipment permanently once you get it. Or you’re going to keep it for the entire “mission” you’re on at least.
To me it seems like equipment is going to function similar to items in a Zelda game, where once you find it you keep it for a long long time. Buy like I said, I doubt think anything’s actually confirmed

No its limited when he uses thruster you can see the number in the corner and it goes down when he thrusts and goes into cloak.

Yes it’s limited by a number but I’m pretty sure it recharges over time.

Where do you see that at around 4:29? I know that once it’s equipped it recharges over time, but at 4:29 he has a grapple attached AND uses thrust.
The grappleshot is a permanent additon to Master Chief in the campaign. That is why he’s able to use it and Thrust together. In order to use the other equipment in the campaign, it looks like you must swap Thrust out for Dropshield and so on. But the Grappleshot will always be there for Campaign and is only an equipment pick up in Multiplayer.

So what your saying is that I can have the grappleshot + another equipment of my choice? Seems odd that they wouldn’t show you can use two equipment’s together and if grappleshot is permanent, then why does it swap out for another equipment in the trailer?

I don’t think it is honestly.
Edit: Actually you’re right I just saw it go to zero on the counter and it comes back to 1 when it recharges. Wasn’t there an equipment switch button in the keybindings?

Actually, now that I slowed down the footage, I see what you are saying. He somehow used thrust while grappleshot was taking up the equipment slot. I don’t know how/why that is when we also see in that same trailer he can only use thrust when it’s in the equipment slot… maybe a mistake? Because I know through out all of the MP stuff, Spartan’s can only Thrust with the equipment selected and equipped. But now that I’m really looking closer at the Campaign footage, it’s not making much sense. My original assumption was due to the heavy emphasis on the Grappleshot in all the promo’s (especially showing it being forged with his armor in that one trailer in space) and the fact it’s attached to Chief on the cover of the game.
So now, honestly I don’t know. Guess we will find out soon.
Guys, in the campaign overview it’s probably on keyboard and mouse and there’s probably a separate key bind for using each individual equipment in campaign without having to switch to it. So you could have any equipment selected but use any other instantly with a hot key.
