I haven’t played Halo 5 in a while since I’ve only ever played it on friends consoles, but something did occur to me whilst playing that I didn’t think of much but after watching more videos of Halo 5 (especially of forge maps) I’ve noticed it looks like the vehicles handle really badly. They seem to slide and bounce all over the place, making it impossible to go anywhere unless the terrain is utterly flat. Slight imperfections should bump you up a bit like in Reach but small little bumps I have seen made Mongooses and even Warthogs in Halo 5 flip over.
On the other hand too, does anybody think the grenades have become waaaay too bouncy? They bounce off surfaces like as if they are bouncy balls.
I find that the most effective way to drive on bumpy or rough roads is to drive more slowly, that usually makes the commute a lot more smooth. I just wish the gungoose had the ability to turn in place quickly.
Driving the scorpion makes me wanna smash my head off a wall sometimes. The thing is so clunky and god awful slow. Heaven forbid if you try to turn in that thing and the controls make it so you cant. In ghosts it seems like a cool breeze makes you flip over. Some vehicles handle good, but those two in general drive me nuts.
Most human vehicles, yes. Anything with wheels ricochets off any hard surface like a moon bounce, and Scorpions are a pain to turn. You want them to turn one way and you end up turning the other.
Grenades feel fine to me, but now that you mention it, they do feel a bit, tad slippery as well (barely noticeable); just like the Warthog, but not bouncy.
Handling seems fine for me usually but the physic’s seem worse, same with hit detection. I’ve seen games where tanks fly in the air for many glitchy reasons and weird situations where allys get instant killed by a slight nudge but doing the same to an enemy instead forces me to fly really high in the air oddly. Plus some of the restrictions on handling seems pretty bad too like not being able to fly high enough to attack enemy’s due to a stupid barrier that let’s only the enemy attack back then there’s the instant kill for being slightly in water in a ghost…which is ridiculous because there’s no reason why I should blow up for touching water. Also the maps in BTB are too small, makes it too easy to spawn trap with vehicles like the Wasp.
I actually like the way all vehicles handle in Halo 5 except for the scorpion. The ghost is my favorite vehicle in every Halo game, and I would say this is my favorite version of it.
The scorpion, I literally can’t even go the right direction it’s so anti-intuitive. My gunner is like ‘umm… wtf man?’ (as he is facing backwards while we roll forward, in reverse)

Vehicles I’ve noticed do slip and slide around a bit.
Grenades (Loadout Grenades in this case as there are several types of grenades) are bouncy, having been in the military and have tossed a few grenades about. Never did have any grenade that when tossed at a group, hit the ground in front of them then bounce up over their heads to explode harmlessly over or behind them as I do on multiple occasions in Halo5
Mongooses and Hogs have great issues. It’s not the handling per se (handling typically refers to turning), but the lightness of the vehicle causes them to bounce and roll like crazy.
Best handling? Mantis. Worst? Tie between Ghost (flippy) & Scorpion (Molasses Inc.). I swear, I once saw a Spartan running backwards outpace the tank. I find the ghost is inconsistent with splatters (for me). I can run through a crowd of Spartans at full chop & gently push them out of the way, but god help me, if I even admire the paint job (from arm’s length) I git flattened.
