Smaller? Halo 4’s maps are much bigger. They’re bigger by default because of default Sprint, and AAs enlargen the maps too. Haven and Adrift are the smallest maps, I believe.

Every map but haven seems like a great BTB map. I think halo 4 will have some of THE best map design in Fps. JUST LOOK AT THEM!

they still provided many different ways to get to the enemy base and actually they ware, you have to use the full length of danger canyon or sidewinder in a vehicle unless you are on the separate foot paths where you still have to travel the full length

Hopefully the Ordinance system will help improve map movement… instead of sitting in one area they’ll be forced to move around the map for desired power weapons. Make more focus points.

Of the seven maps confirmed so far (Exile, Solace, Longbow, Haven, Adrift, Ragnarok, Complex), three (+ possibly Complex) are “large” (BTB-worthy), two (+ Complex?) are medium, and one (Haven) is small.

Hemmorhage in Reach was barely big enough, barely
just because it supports 16 players doesn’t mean its anywhere big enough
all of the space was used in these big maps they all provide ways to get to the flag

Much of Sidewinder was dead space as far as infantry were concerned, Gephyrophobia was too open, in my opinion, for the sniper ridges surrounding it, Infinity and Danger Canyon were fine. Many of Halo 4’s maps actually seem well-sized, as we’ve only seen one BTB map, Longbow, in action. It’s not Sidewinder or Sandtrap, but it is still a decent size for a BTB map.

This space is where the vehicle battles take place on sidewinder and it is still one of the 3 highly used paths to get to the base

again that statement with 0 support invalid statement is invalid there is no map where 3.4 of the space is not used
I think they are perfect from what I’ve seen. I’ll obviously have favorites once the game comes out but they seem to be sized perfectly for normal slayer and objective games as well as big team battle matches.

Yes I do, my own experience playing those maps, they were all focused in one area, all of them, there was no reason to move and stay fighting over there.
