Do the Prometheans change guns when they die?

At the beginning of warzone, when you’re securing the home base, some of the Prometheans have light rifles that are being shot at me. Yet, when I kill the soldier and go to pick it up, it is a suppressor. Does anyone know why this is?

They have two weapons and when killed they drop one, often the suppressor but I have seen one light rifle drop.

Thanks, that makes sense now. I thought it was because they didn’t want anyone to pick up a rare req

Never seen a lightrifle drop, I thought they automatically despawn since they’re too op in the beginning
