I got a fastball kill in the game and the announcer said “they’ll be talking about that on Waypoint tonight” so idk
Sometimes I have the feeling, they use Waypoint as a honeypot ![]()
For the last three Halo games, 343 has picked the wrong feedback time and time again which has led to massive drawbacks in the only games they have ever created. They have one job… create Halo games… and after a decade of working on Halo games, they still can’t even do that correctly. There is always more waiting and setbacks and delays, or if there isn’t any waiting there are usually rushed mistakes and broken mechanics or bugs and glitches that make the quality of life for players bad. It’s always something with 343’s work, and I’m tired of watching this company struggle with Halo.
We are wasting our time.
Pretty clear they have moved on and Bugs for De-Sycnh, Melee and Server Selection issues are being swept under the rug as they add on more Bling to entice people to give them money.
If I’m trying to make sense of it, my only thoughts are that Forge or Co-Op or something from the Roadmap was falling behind so they had to pull extra resources from other areas to try and keep it on track. Once all the things are up to speed, they will obviously go back to working on the desync, server problems etc. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take them too long, that way their other work doesn’t start piling up.
Rumour has it that Halo Infinite has been in the works for 5 years? Really? Is that true? If so somebody needs to get fired
Why? because of all the screw ups in the game at the time the game was released!
Peace!

They started development as soon as 5 launched without giving it the proper vetting it needed with feedback from the game.
Now we’re stuck here in this mess.
we tend look at 343 of people that are entirely comprised of of those that don’t care. I think the truth is many will share the same concerns that are Infinite but what can they honestly do if it’s all decided by those main heads of 343 and no doubt MS. The trouble is they have no control so we get the sh!tsh0w that is Infinite
It must be quite tough for some of these that don’t share the crummy principles
it really does feel as if they pay no attention to what we say
i think there not looking at all on the forums.
for some reason i think why we have a forum in the first place if there not looking at all on it.
in the past few month’s we all have see that some topic’s have become so hot that we really need a developer answer about it to cool it down more on that topic.
that there more explane on that hot topic why there choose for it to do it so.
I can verify that before the Halo Waypoint visual overhaul, Postums would heavily monitor the seasonal feedback threads and document recurrent feedback. This included split-screen on PC and unlocking season points past rank 100.
We have neither split-screen on PC, nor season points past rank 100, nor seasonal feedback threads, nor Postums as a community manager.
There MAY have been content added from those threads, as I recall Elite content being highly requested prior to the season dedicated to their Halo Online armor, but it’s hard to tell if it’s coincidental or not. People could probably do deeper research to find specifics from each Seasonal Feedback thread to examine what’s been added and what wasn’t. Since that was their earlier model, I’d be surprised if the forums are completely unsupervised.
i do think that the devs look at the forums and i do think they care about what is said on the forums.
but the reality is (at least i think so), that what is said on the forums doesn’t matter. the only thing that matters is, what investors say. and as long as people keep spending money on MTs (even the smallest amounts, bc it adds up to a lot, even if it dwindles in light of the whales), the investors are happy and then they say: "stay on course, keep doing what you’re doing, maybe even ramp up the predatory microtransaction schemes to up the revenue. "
and no amount of critisism on the forums will ever matter, as long as people keep spending. and the dwindling population doesn’t matter either, bc the people leaving, aren’t the people spending money and therefore don’t matter
It’s an old microsoft behavior
This feedback isn’t about people’s opinions on the game. You can’t disagree with feedback talking about issues like desync, forced cross-play, and no functioning custom games.
People wanting an easy mode in Dark Souls isn’t the same type feedback and doesn’t really correlate with the type feedback Halo fans are consistently saying.
If it’s 343’s vision to make the game a broken and content-lacking experience, then maybe you have a good point. Analogous to how it’s Fromsoft’s vision to not have an easy mode.
Mockingly perhaps, but not seriously.
Yeah, but that’s not what everyone on these forums is asking for though. People want weapon changes, most of which IMO are serviceable and fine just the way they are for example.
I’m talking about a more broad when it comes to changes to the game, not just to very specific subjects. Obviously people want lag addressed, and I’m sure 343i wants to do away with it as well. But you can’t just snap it away just like that, it’s going to take time to find and improve what they need done. They have other
that they already had planned as well, if they just disregard all future content to fully focus lag issues with the game, the next thing you’ll see on these boards is about how they’re not putting out any new content for people to play and that the game is becoming stale and boring.
Crossplay is a mix bag, there are plenty of people that have no issue with it, which includes me. I have no issue playing against console players while I run the game on my PC. Crossplay is pretty obviously going to stay wither people like it or not, since it seems XBox is trying to establish a solid PC dominance and console dominance going forward, for that, they’ll need games. There’s also a possibility that consoles are going to become obsolete in the near future, which is probably another reason why they’re doing this.
At this point, if they removed crossplay, then PC gamers would definitely be suffering the after effects now though. Like when MCC allowed us to pick a preference to what types of players we want to face off against. You very quickly saw topics of concern for KBM players not finding other KBM players to play against because the numbers are so low when compared to controller. Which is expected seeing as this franchise is a console game first and for most.
I am sure they’ve said a few times they do look on the forums on Waypoint.
Do they do it when game has low interest and numbers which echoes into here? Perhaps not. It’s worrying when I start noticing the same people.
I mean I don’t know if I am being paranoid but I’ve been making fun of Doisac being destroyed for a while on these forums. Then few weeks ago on one of the canon fodder article they made a joke about Doisac where “oh and this is what it looks like right now” and it was a black screen. It’s was very surreal. I appreciated this, even if it wasn’t intentional. But they’ve never made light of this before.
There was also another time where on a canon fodder article they spelt out that the state of the galaxy is meant to be a mystery. Which came when, weirdly enough I was ranting about the multiplayer story being obtuse and not providing any context.
Maybe other people are making similar comments on the forums and elsewhere which filters down into these canon fodder articles. Perhaps he just thought Doisac being destroyed was worth mockery as well. But I get the impression somebody is checking the pulse every now and then on the forums.
I’m pretty sure they do look at the forums to read through what they are about or something.
Sometimes, but not enough. Better to complain on Twitter about it. That’s what that platform is for.
No, just the communications team does. Aka Uny and Ske7ch.
