Most input of the game is found here and I always see them responding to Twitter posts and Reddit but I don’t see much response to the things said on these forums and it makes me wonder if posting here is pointless. because genuine concerns for the game will never be seen. I’m sure they are very busy developing the game, but responses on Twitter ask me if they will listen to the fanbase’s concerns with the state of the game.
I’d like to think that they look at the forums but sometimes I do wonder if we’re all just wasting our time typing here.
Honestly the forums are pretty dead, and don’t get even a fraction of the views that reddit, twitter, and YouTube get. I only ever see the same handful of users post here
They probably have a guy that reads them and takes note of what’s being said, but they don’t respond because then ppl would just start directly yelling at them and they want more constructive feedback.
how much feedback do you need before you actually do what the feedback says or even consider it
At the end of the day, it’s up to 343 to decide what feedback to listen to. We could send them all of the feedback possible but if they don’t want to use it, they just won’t and there’s nothing we can do about it.
Depends on how useful the feedback is, and if they agree with it.
They may come here occasionally but this is really just a way to deflect support tickets by having us talk to each other.
Yes. Devs do read all of this, or at least, the most popular posts.
Unfortunately, Devs don’t have a very strong word against what “343’s bosses” say they need to work on.
They are very aware of the problems Infinite has, but 343 Big Bosses have other problem$$$ in mind.
Yes they look, and they do get feedback from it, although it doesn’t help when people swear or give feedback in a negative vicious way which has happened often.
One reason why if I have something negative to say, I do it in a way that isn’t disrespectful or inaprpriate
It has been this way since 343 took over. They barely respond if at all on their own forums but much more on Twitter and Reddit.
I am sure some people look (commutiry managers for example), but I am sure the devs themselves do not.
The devs are not the ones making the decisions about the dorection of the game. They are the ones coding the work that product managers tell them to do. Unless every time we talk about devs we specifically mean director-level engineering employees.
I am sure there is enough pressure already too. Why would they come here to read how terrible everyone thinks they’re doing? Someone one would filter all of the useful information from the rants.
I suspect dev’s do read the forums because dev’s can be quite passionate about the franchise while I have doubt that the higher up management care and there ones that will push any decisions.
343 only listen to certain feedback, the feedback that they want, not all. The last ten years are a proof of this statement
It just makes me wish i could do more to help
To answer you question yes it is when when it comes to the devs. Not because they don’t get info or don’t care about it, it’s just there are way too many things that are wrong with this forum, what info they can share, etc…
Think about this for a moment,
When a CM post an update and it doesn’t matter what info is posted the update gets bombarded with all kinds of replies, and we all know 99.99% of them replies will never be answered so most of the replies will not be pleasant, let alone constructive feedback so there really is no reason to communicate. Now most would like to blame the community on this forum, but the reality is that 343 actions caused all this, just like how Bungie did with the Destiny forum that is a complete **** show because of the silence. It’s like you have to pull teeth just to get any CM to do their job and post what’s being said on Reddit/twitter.
But, it goes a hell of a lot further then that when it comes to using forums. It doesn’t matter what forum it is, they are not being used as their intended purpose these days. They are used because of popularity, the free advertisement, etc… Giving feedback is important, but when you have higher-ups that are going to do what they want no matter what knowing they have their “plan” set already on what path they are taking. Feedback doesn’t mean jack these days no matter where it comes from.
Agreeing with feedback is the opposite of what feedback is meant for. If they agree with the feedback, then they wouldn’t have done it in the first place.
I assume you already know this and are just pointing out the Dev’s incompetence
I really dont think they do. Why would they? 343i and Daddy Gates makes the decisions not the Devs… I just think 343i has people check for posts that 343i dislikes so they can close the posts. I had a few that they did not like my opinion and shut my post down on a subject and they call it’s against the rules of the forum. So much for freedom of expression eh? ![]()
Peace!

One of the benefits of being the creators of a game, is that you get the final word in how things play out. If people suggest something they wamt done in a game, the Dev’s can say “No, I don’t want that to be a thing”, and them being the creators, they are allowed to say that.
If they’re not allowed to get the final say in something they made, you can’t really say they’re the ones who created it now can you?
Good example of this is that with how many people want an Easy mode implemented into the Souls games, and the Dev’s time and time again tell them they won’t be putting an Easy mode in the game because it goes against their vision of how the game is meant to be played.
I view 343i management as people who live within an echo chamber.
They have been treating us more like “Money Generators” rather then people trying to help improve the game. If you compare OLD blizzard CM’s to 343i CM’s it’s night and day.
Blizzard CM’s would get in front of literally anything on the forums and respond to bugs and feedback frequently. 343i CM’s can’t even bother to open Halo waypoint once a day and at the bare minimum show they have a presence here.
It’s so Bizzare.
