Out of curiosity I’ve never had this clarified. I notice voridus or pavium(I forget) looks like he can be wearing his own modified version of Jorge’s grenadier armor. Some of the other brutes also look like they have pieces of other Spartan armor. And their missles seem to be very UNSC-like. If this is true, I would like to know how the Banished got their hands on UNSC tech?
I can only assume as scavengers, that they must have come across a ship or two carrying similar tech and raided it or traded. Possibly the same with a planet in the outer colonies that traded with the Covenant.
I’m not very familiar with the lore of the Banished.
The Banished took over the UNSC outposts on the Ark. I’m sure there was lots of technology left for them to scavenge…

And when they took that salvage / tech I’d bet they started adding to their own production (ie: if they took AA missles from a UNSC base on the ark, they may have started production of them and put them into Reavers)
As for the brutes having parts of spartan armor, it seems weird if thats true (I haven’t really looked at their armor) since there aren’t that many spartans for them to kill / fight canonically since the spartan 4’s are on infinity and back in the milky way (I don’t think the sent any to the ark to guard scientists) and the spartan 3’s are all dead or not on the ark and the spartan 2’s are just down to Blue Team (I’m pretty sure) and the last spartan 1 died in Halo 3.

There are a few more Spartan 2s than just Blue team, but tour point still stands. I thought it was mostly ODST armour that the brutes had, but it’s not impossible there was a MJOLNIR testing facility somewhere on the Ark.
