Do Spartan IV's wear Mark VI?

If you complete the Halo 4 campaign on Legendary, you unlock the Mark VI armor for multiplayer. Is this the same Mark VI armor that the Spartan II’s wear or is it altered to fit the Spartan IV’s?

Does the GEN2 variant of the Mark VI actually exist or is it just an armor added in the multiplayer that is not canon? If the GEN2 Mark VI variant actually exists, how many Spartan IV’s do you think would wear it?

Since ‘Warrior’ is now the standard outfitting for Spartan IV forces. If a proper Gen.2 Mark VI (and above) exists, then it’s likely worn only by previous Spartan II’s such as Blue Team as recognition of their status as original Spartans.

This always tripped me up.

But I believe it is Mk. VI GEN 2.

and it’s stated that Naomi-010 is the only one to wear Mark VII.

All descriptions list it as GEN 1.

I just found this on halopedia

http://www.halopedia.org/MJOLNIR_Powered_Assault_Armor_(GEN2)

That article coupled with the fact that, on this very site, it lists the armor as Gen2, I’d say that’s the answer. If you go to the top bar, go to halo 4 intel, and then armor, they all say Gen2 except Mark Vi, which says Gen1.

Yes some Spartan IV wear the Mark VI armor on the UNSC infinity it’s not popular cause the new GEN2 armor is lighter but still as effective as the Mark VI

I hear that “Warrior” is the standard outfit for the Spartan IV’s, but it’s funny how we don’t see much people use the armor set in War Games. The Recruit armor looks and feels more like a standard Spartan IV armor.

Well it isn’t GEN2, its just that the GEN2 armor itself is backwards compatible with the GEN1 MK VI. All armor and above is canon for the S-IVs though, just some looks more foreign than others.
