The fact you think halo 5 is the best halo multiplayer in another post makes everything you’ve said make sense now. lmao get outta here with that nonsense. No wonder you get so mad at ppl who’ve been a halo fan for 20yrs and prefer classic gameplay.

The AR and Sidekick are both far too good atm. They can compete with actual ranged fire arms and the Sidekick will outplay any weapon due to its accuracy and rate of fire. It absolutely dominates BRs at midrange which is absolutely ridiculous.

I was happy that the AR was finally worth using in a Halo game but as it stands it is just too good. It needs a range nerf ASAP. Sidekick is trickier imo, not really sure whether they should nerf the range or the rate of fire but either would probably fix the issue.

dont let “itisendtimes” see this, he’ll pout and get mad at your for your logical response lol

i agree entirely with you btw

I believe the ‘Assault Rifle’ starts are actually less frustrating for such a casual game mode as ‘Team Slayer.’ A ‘Battle Rifle’ start would make it much more sweaty. We already have ‘Ranked Arena’ for that which has ‘friendly fire’ enabled. In most cases a reasonable individual would conclude that the ‘BR’ has a distinct advantage over the ‘AR’ the further away you are from your opponent, so naturally the ‘AR’ is slightly better (in my opinion) in close quarters if your ‘opponent/opponents’ are strafing a lot.

Tl;dr - ‘AR’ is better than ‘BR’ for casual modes (except ‘BTB’). ‘BR’ is better than ‘AR’ for ranked.

everything you typed is irrelevant to what I stated though.

Why do I get the feeling most people in this game confuse “mid-range” with what is actually close-range.

As a good example, mid-range would be from the flag spawn of Aquarius to about the middle of the map. The AR is simply not beating a BR at that range if you have a halfway decent strafe.

Just cause he’s at the other end of a long hallway doesn’t make it count as “mid-range.” The AR is good at close to close-mid, and yes, that’s a thing. The Bulldog can even 3 shot at close-mid if you get lucky pellet spread.

By your definition it would be close-mid. It was from the 2 rooms either end of the balcony overlooking marketplace on Bazaar.

Then it would make sense that he could outgun you if you had a poor strafe. That’s still within the ARs zone.

Ironically the pistol would’ve won you that fight lol

Well you kind of prove my point…which is that a BR should not be losing to an AR at that range if you’re not missing shots.

What do you propose is the solution? Because the AR shouldn’t receive a damage nerf imo. Personally I think the AR is fine as it is, maybe it could go with having a wider cone, but otherwise I think it’s fine. Any further than the range he engaged you and it would lose.

I would happily argue that it needs damage, range and bullet spread adjustments…but seeing as a lot of ppl are happy with it as it is, then I’d be happy to compromise by just having a range nerf and increase bullet spread. If it’s meant to dominate CQC then that it absolutely fine and it will remain so, but there’s absolutely no way it should dominate an AR in any range above 20-25m.

Getting kills with the AR is cheap, and lacks any amount of skill. It has way too much going for it. Super accurate, fast fire rate, amazing damage, and a headshot multiplier. It can strip shields and half your health at long range spraying. It’s simply not fun. Especially knowing you are aiming, using map knowledge, and strafing… just to be herp derped by this thing without a care in the world. NO HALO has EVER played like this.

Too many simple jacks running around not wanting it nerfed because they can’t get kills otherwise. It’s beyond infuriating you get sprayed down by an AR, and go look at their service record for past halos and see they don’t rate in K/D or rank.

I can’t force myself to use it, because to me it’s an ultimate sin and shameful. Sure, I’d use it if someone got in my face, or out of ammo. Should the AR be bad? no. should it be dominating every single weapon at range? Hell no.

Plus we don’t have a Casual BR slayer playlist, or BTB thats BR.

I would generally disagree about it being a scrub weapon. I also am genuinely curious as to what you consider to be the long range it’s beating you at. Not in an condescending sort of way, just to get an understanding.

In my opinion, at close and close-mid it is a formidable weapon; however it can be beaten easily with mauler or bulldog at closer ranges and pistol or br at further. Also, the mag size and fire rate result in a huge weakness with missed shots. I believe it takes skill to use; however, it is a different skill. You have to not only be accurate and nimble. I like having it as a secondary for those close range encounters. Many times an AR alone won’t beat a nimble opponent. Yes it will weaken, but in many gunfights I’ve experienced it’ll come down to whomever can swap and dome fastest.

I’ve never experienced the ar being used at longer ranges, but I find both the pistol, br, and commando more viable. I’ve also never found it useful myself at range.
Perhaps the maps are a little too condensed and as a result, it does need a range nerf. Perhaps due to map size, it needs to become move of a viable SMG; however, it cannot be nerfed to the extent of the bulldog.

I do miss the DMR though. I feel that most alien weapons are useless and could use a buff. I also hate the needler. I probably feel the same about the needler as you do the ar.

You are crying because they kill you with the AR but you also have it, if you cannot kill with it, then the kid here is you

Don’t nerf the AR, it’s actually good for once again! Just use trigger discipline not fully holding it down on the trigger! Use short medium bursts!

Isn’t the Assault Rifle the main weapon in Halo in general? Like it’s a bog standard “assault rifle”.

The ranking system is broken. Everyone is plat or diamond. I don’t play ranked cuz it’s not really ‘ranked’. Team hardcore as the only option doesn’t prove anything. This game needs more playlists. BR never dominated ever weapon in the sandbox and that statement shows how little you know about Halo sandbox. AR would still beat BR at close range in H3

so what you’re saying is that you want the game to make it easy for you to kill now that they are fresh players that are better than you. So by asking this, to remove everything that you requested so they can play under your rule?

Okay
