Do present humans know about Ancient Humanity?

Welp, do you think?
Because in none of any Halo “pieces.” Humans never mention about Ancient Humanity.

Maybe it will be a huge twist to the plot, if they figure out that there was a ancient species of humans, or maybe they would even might meet them?

Could be possible, as Ancient Humanity reached Tier 1, and they could possibly traveled outside the Galaxy?

And be same from The Flood/Halo? Or Maybe they could possibly come back and be a threat to present humans, as they have been thriving off of Forerunner tech, and are disappointed in them.

They could of come back as a savior to cure the Flood, as there could’ve been another outbreak. Or even come back to get revenge on Forerunners(even though they are all pretty much gone), but these are just some speculations I have about Ancient Humanity and what not.

You have to remember after the Halo array fired, all live was destroyed other then the specimens they got from each race, and sent back to there home planet, after the Ancient Humans were wiped out, along with the rest of the galaxy, The humans were sent back to earth, But they came back as Cavemen, at the very first tier. So thats as far back as Humanity can remember, As far as they know, Humanity started with the Cavemen.

Wouldn’t you think that it was logical to put some forerunners in a slip-space pod like the spartan team off onyx or ancient humanity to save them from the array?

They could have made an attempt to use the Onyx Dyson Sphere for that purpose.

On topic, I assume right now they have no clue as they have not come across a record that could verify that humanity was ever at the same level as the Forerunners. I would like to see how modern humanity would take to finding out that they were reset not once, but twice by the Forerunners.

Nope.

Heck, they didnt even know they had any connection to the forerunners until Halsey figured it out in Halo: Reach. They were completely (mostly) oblivious to the covenants true purpose (to find forerunner artifacts - ultimately halo) until Halsey was able to reason it out…as Reach was being burned. She put 2+2 together and reasoned out that these artifacts are on human worlds specifically for a reason.

They have a lot of history to catch up on…to reclaim, so to speak.

I imagine that is what the reclaimer trilogy is kind of about.

No, I don’t think humanity knows about the ancient humans, yet.

To be honest, I have a funny feeling that the Ancient Evil is actualy the Humans.

Modern Humanity is unaware of ancient humanity. There are in essence three humanities:

  1. The Ancient, Tier 1 humans
  2. The devolved humans nurtured by The Librarian; Chakas and Morning Riser being two of them.
  3. Third humanity, the one MC is a part of.

That’s what’s interesting about what’s coming. How will humanity react to the discovery of their past and what the Forerunners did to them. Humans likely tend to think of the Forerunners as benevolent because of the “reclaimer” thing.
Discovering the San Shyuum were once an ally would also be a big shock, especially to those still following the Covenant. Ancient humans might even side with the Covenant, indeed ancient humans may have even been the original Covenant.
The discovery of the fact that ancient humans had discovered the Flood would surely lead to a search, a quest, for the cure. Would humans have destroyed it? No. They would have hidden it.

They do not know yet.
But I have a feeling that they will before the new trilogy is over.
