Do people's strafes actually make you miss?

Do you miss a lot when people strafe and whats the craziest strafe you saw?

I strafe but still get hit.

Why me.

You got to make them unpredictable. Try a short strafe, then a long strafe, then short short, long, and crouch sometimes so their aim is thrown.

The crouch in this game is brutal, it’s quick and you don’t have to stop moving to go into it. Turn off toggle crouch and your head is nearly impossible to get a lock on

Sometimes yes, but a lot of them are pretty bad…Of late I’ve been seeing a lot of people just rocking back and forth on the stick so they end up barely moving. They just end up looking like they are shaking… It’s kind of hilarious. Another one I’ve seen of late is to just duck crouch when they’re shields pop apparently not realizing that not going to save them.

Oh and its strafe.

Yup.

Hardly ever. Nobody has a decent strafe in this game. Everybody does it in a simple and slow pattern.

Not in this gane. Strafe acceleration is way too low and bullet magnetism is way too high.

Well I have a lot more trouble hitting a pro player as opposed to average players.

it bothers me still that we call this a strafe. its a sidestep. Strafing is a different thing… but the term has caught on I Guess.

I strafe/side step. Even crouch and jump.
I recommend players melee as well to try and punch the bullets back at them!

The tea-bagging while attempting to return fire is particularly amusing to me, though also slightly impressive. I don’t think I have enough fingers to do that.

I always get thrown off by the crouching. I want to try out crouching in my movements as well, but I’ve kept using Halo 4 controls for this game. What controls does everyone else use? I want to get some better maneuvering and maintain my aiming.

Its not as effective as in H2 & H3. Strafing and how one moves can make all the difference in the game. Knowing where your nearest cover/escape route is important.

Some players make it easy to kill them… These are the players who dont move well.

Crouching and crouch jumping can be effective, you dont need to be not moving to crouch like in H3.

Recon. I’m just used to it.

I took a look at it, looks perfect for someone big on support and firing. The melee looks a bit hard, but I’m not up close too often. I’ll try using it for 10 games and so and see it how pans out.

Of course you need to strafe… one thing a lot of people should practice getting better at is using the thrust as part of your strafe. It goes a long way.

Strafe one direction one or two steps then thrust back in the other direction. If you keep your aim centered it can help gain/regain advantage.

i need to go to theater and see my strafe from other peoples POV

Watch how pros strafe. Whenever I player against a pro their strafe is on point and I miss half my shots
