do people understand that warzone is not slayer?

it kills me and it happens way too much your team racks up a ton of enemy kills but doesn’t go after any bosses, so your team gets annihilated. If you don’t understand the objective of the game type, ask somebody or play something else

In the end though you cannot control what people want to do in the game. We may not like it but you have to remember there are people trying to get kills, trying to get comadations, and some that just play super casual. War zone is more-or-less the casual game type on halo 5. Even though players like you and I are trying hard to win the game sometimes it’s better just to conform and start killing enemies.

I prefer focusing on getting high req levels and trying to secure objectives, bosses only drop oh so often so best to rack up point where ever possible.

bosses are worth lots of points and boost your req level fast

I think the problem (if you can call it a problem) is that we are hard-wired to go after enemy players. When we see someone with the opposite armor color, it is a knee-jerk reaction to start shooting and going after them. When I get caught up in a firefight or when a base is under attack, I often disregard or forget about the bosses altogether and go after enemy players.

Warzone is whatever you want it to be, man.

Warzone is the casual have fun playlist i will screw around as much as i want thanks. If you want to win so bad go play ranked.

If you kill enemies you prevent them from getting bosses or objectives?

I try to do both. You need to outslayer the other team more often than not.

If I’m just dying on my way to the boss though, it’s time to exercise some control over the area.

Gotta keep the other team down to prevent from stealing boss kills

no they dont

Well in some cases I’ve seen the reason they don’t go for bosses is because they go for bases or are defending bases hence why they have a lot of spartan kills which can help you win the game due to point advantage

I personally do go for kills…and bosses.
I have ended games with 60 kills before…but also gone for bosses.
Let us go for kills, lots of us go for bosses too.

I like to consider it as different roles. My one objective in Warzone is to try and get all 3 bases captured. I kill NPCs as I come by them but my main goal is to get the reactor core open and be as much of a hindering force to the enemy team as possible: which means get a lot of kills while capping bases. It really works as long as theres only like 3 people doing that. If everyone is trying to do that then yeah, you’re gonna lose.

What is the objective? Honest question. I just feel like I never know what to go for. Most seem to go for bases, but bases dont seem to give as many points as bosses, but if your team focuses on bosses the bases get capped and you get cornered and risk loosing the boss fight to the last shot from enemy team.

Then you have campers, that focus on easy kills to improve their kd.

Nobody seems to use mics, so it all feels like a guessing game.

Am I crazy for thinking warzone is a mess?

I’m working on weapon commendations, then vehicles. Then I will be done with warzone and move on to arena commendations.

I’ve already finished the enemy commendations, though. Why would I keep killing them?

In the games I’m usually in, I’m usually the last man standing in one of the side bases to keep it from being taken. I think its too often overlooked that the armory closest to your home base should always been protected.

Sorry op if someone is trying to take my base or kill me, they are getting taken out.

I think it’s far more annoying when your whole team is rushing off to hunt bosses instead of defending the only base you have on the field.
