koth on launch site is terrible. players spawn too far away from the hill. lucky spawns basically determine the outcome of the match. launch site is not a bad map but 343 really has dug its grave with these game mode settings. 4v4 on such a large map with a medium range weapon is bad enouugh then you expect modes like koth and one flag to function. Most snowball matches ive ever played in any game.
Launch Site is a bad map…
I fixed it for you.
I refuse to play any game on Launch Site. I just use my swaps.
Q/A people aren’t always at fault. It’s up to the higher ups to act on it. Q/A testers can only do so much. Though 343i did push a flight straight before release so it’s probably more down to mismanagement. I really wish someone would take over 343i and do proper testing and listen to the feedback given.
its not great but could atlleast be playable with a long range weapon. behemoth suffers with medium range weapon starts too but launch site takes the cake.
I know they playtest the game but I don’t think they are being thorough enough. Its kind of like washing your hands, just getting soap and water all over your hands doesn’t mean they are now clean, you have to scrub every area.
343 needs to spend more time scrubbing and polishing their products before they shove them out the door for launch.
Lol, why everyone hating on Behemoth and Launch Site? I ain’t gonna say they’re my favorite, but they are far from worst we’ve ever seen.
Then again everyone seemed to like Isolation back in the day and I hated that one.
Launch Site is easily the worst map in Halo Infinite.
Also, Isolation is horrible.
Of course not do you really think the game would be in this state if they had people play testing it
Launch Site is one of the worst maps in Halo history. Although I do like playing Fiesta on it a little, not a lot.
Isolation was the worst launch map for Halo 3, followed closely by Last Resort. I didn’t mind it as a BTB map but it absolutely sucked in the ranked 4v4 objective playlist.
i managed to enjoy some last resort 4v4 but imagine playing last resort without a long range weapon. thats basically what launch site is. people who pick up the long range weapons become gods. only maps with short lines of sight can support medium range weapon starts as it limits the effectiveness of long range weapons.
Going off your title, just the campaign alone literally shows not much play testing goes on, and even then? Play testing, and actually playing the game to see what’s actually going on are 2 totally separate things.
Maybe 343 should actually play their game, because play testing isn’t working for them.
I like launch site for Team Slayer. It allows for a lot more strategies than the smaller maps and there are a ton of mobility options and different areas to force encounters.
However for KOTH and One Flag I agree; it does not feel balanced.
Ding ding ding. We have a winner!
Nothing grinds my gears more than having someone say “Did anyone test this?” Of course. QA tests it, they give their reports, if they feel strongly about something they’ll push for it…
But at the end of the day, QA doesn’t resolve any issue that gets reported.
obviously the game got playtested and im not talking specifically about qa testers, im questioning the quality of the whole process which involves everyone.
