Personally, I hate fighting the Warzone bosses especially the grunt pilot and warden. I’ve been seeing threads around here with people complaining about Warzone bosses essentially being bullet sponges, and the more I play Warzone, the more and more I have to agree about that. An example of this was the other night I was playing Warzone, and I shot my entire Endgame Spartan Laser clip into a grunt pilot and did very little damage to it…ITS A FRICKIN SPARTAN LASER it should do HELLA damage.
I enjoy them.
Welcome to “firefight” according to 343
I agree that the health of some of the bosses should be tweaked, but they made it this way because you have 7 other Spartans helping you to destroy them. The game is meant to build teamwork and cohesion in the community and force people to communicate, which I support fully. Yeah, they’re annoying but I’ve met some really great people when playing these.

Even in regular Warzone this issue occurs! It’s just not fun to me! And just today I started thinking about fighting bosses from previous Halo games and I was thinking about the difference between hunters in Halo Reach and Halo 5. I loved fighting hunters in Halo Reach because you could be crafty about it, and get behind them and shoot them with a shotgun, whatever and end up killing them if you maneuver well enough. In 5, you need tons of scorpion shots or multiple fuel rod cannons to take them down.
Warzone bosses are nothing more than a bunch of glorified bullet sponges who can one shot you in the blink of and eye, all because 343 can’t program a decent AI to save their lives. Half the time I don’t even bother going after them because it feels like no matter what I do the other team is bound to get the kill no matter what, as if they’re pre-determined to get the kill and the match itself is rigged.
I hate fighting these Halo 5 bosses. Emptying Clip after clip after clip. So boring!
its always cool to play with friends and mess around in ff
Warzone Firefight is my favorite thing to play. If you actually use good reqs they go down in like 3 minutes
I would like fighting the bosses if I could cut through the cannon fodder in between them and my team first. When you have twenty plus knights defending a grunt armored tank (as if it needs protection) the fun meter begins to drain as you continue to die and wait to respawn for 20 something seconds as you watch the timer count down to failure. So do I personally like fighting the bosses in firefight? Some more than others. But if 343 doesn’t reduce the number of enemy infantry to make fighting the boss more enjoyable, then at least reduce the amount of damage they do as the infantry are like bosses themselves.

Well campaign wise they made hunters perfect but firefight just drastically increased the health of every enemy a.i
I think the Warden was very poorly designed as a boss fight. There’s not real strategy to them besides just getting behind them and using your highest DPS options, and that’s a viable solution to every fight.
Elites? You have the option of using weapons that take down shields faster, and depending on the setting, you might have to take them on from multiple angles so they can’t get out of fire long enough for their shields to recharge.
Vehicles? You’ve got a whole slew of weapons made just for that between EMPs, locking weapons, and a few good heavies.
Knights? Gotta knock off that armor to reveal weak points at least!
Hunters? Sure, they’re bullet sponges too, but you can shadowbox them. Each player takes a turn drawing their fire while the others recover.
Soldiers? If you draw them out into the open, a splatter can be an easy kill as long as you don’t let them board you.
Wardens? EMPs don’t matter. I guess locking on is nice, but it’s not like he moves fast enough to make it that much of an advantage. Shadowboxing him doesn’t work that great since he’s got a one-shot kill that can kinda lob into you even if you duck into cover. He can EMP all your vehicles. Just get behind them and dish out as much damage as possible, which is the most basic way to kill everything; stand in its blind spot and shoot.
Because u dont like fighting bosses doesnt mean everyone hate fighting bosses.
Yeah not a big fan of the concept and implementation of the WZ bosses, feel like it was thrown together on the fly as a last second addition.
I would prefer if the boss did more than just stand there. I prefer the illusion that I am fighting something that responds to me attacking it. They sort of do that I guess. But I’d rather if they went around the map with their mobs in packs just destroying everything.

The OP never suggested that everyone needs to dislike fighting bosses.
I have a love/hate thing for WZFF. It’s so fun and my new favorite mode (outside Super Fiesta). But the Warden fights are such nonsense. All 3 of them EMP the hell outta your vehicles and one shot them, then you have to wait 30 seconds to respawn and by the time you do, there’s 90 seconds left and all 3 Wardens are still standing. The respawn timer should be 10 seconds across all rounds. I’m not a hugs of your REQ level resetting with every use, either. But that’s just me. And enemy vehicles should be able to be jacked, also. It makes me nuts that things like the Ghost round can’t be boarded. But all those annoyances aside, it is a hell of a lot of fun when you get a team together that communicates and plays it the right way.

Isn’t endgame the Spartan laser that does less damage?
There are warzone bosses? I never noticed, in a tank everything dies the same.

Yes, but with a lot more ammunition to make up for it! Less damage, more rounds. So more damage can be dealt overall with the Endgame than with the regular Spartan Laser, and like I said, I used every last shot of that Endgame on the grunt pilot.
