I just finished Halo Wars: DE, and the Flood were definitely the worst enemy type in the game, right after Sentinels. They’re dull, repetitive, overpowered enemies who dragged down the campaign. They only belong in FPS Halo titles.
How about no. They should be added as they were the most hyped up and wanted faction for this game by far.

The community doesn’t know what’s good for it.
Prometheans in 4 and 5 seemed like misplaced RTS enemies. Give us, or at least me, those instead.
Seriously, the Flood were tedious and irritating to fight in HW:DE…

Just because they were irritating in the first game that is over 8 years old doesn’t mean they would be added without change into this game. Everything has been re-balanced and tweeked from the first game.
The Flood doesn’t really fit into HW 2. That aspect of the Halo story is pretty much done with.
Screw that, long time Halo Wars fans have been begging for playable Flood leaders for multiplayer.

Prometbeans were perfect in Halo 4, way more fearsome than in Halo 5. They were completely pointless in Halo 5 and how they’re even galactically in Halo 5 is not explained, makes no sense

But the developers do?..get out of here

What? They were extremely weak compared to the covenant or sentinels unless you were using mass infantry or something, in which case, you kind of deserve to get your butt kicked.
in the missions that focused on the flood, the ONLY reason they were any kind of threat whatsoever is because they came in 100:1 ratios to the units you got.

Flood bases were ridiculous to deal with.
Who says a playable flood faction has to be similar to how they behaved in the Halo Wars 1 campaign?

I say that all the time. Halo 4 Prometheans were legit. It’s like everything good about them was scrapped in Halo 5.

Like Viper Skills said, they don’t need to be implemented the same way they were in the first game.
I do think the spores and the spore launchers were annoying, though.
Adding the flood as DLC will lessen the impact of them returning in the main series of games, so i think they should think of something else.

Agreed.
Flood are just annoying, I like to enjoy games, not endure them.
I honestly don’t think they would make that happen due to that it being to difficult to implement them into the game. I honestly didn’t find them that bad on the campaign even on legendary my favourite with to do was to put boomstick skull on that made it comical at times.

Just because they are OP in the first one, doesn’t mean they will be in the second one. Just look at the scorpion.
I absolutely agree. I (My Halo crew as well) hate The Flood. By Halo 3 I was burned out fighting Flood. I know I am in the minority when it comes to this.
But for me, it is refreshing not having to deal with the Flood. As a whole in all games, “infected” lifeforms are flat out worn out in my opinion. It seems that every game has a Zombie, or Infected in it. It is old.
I get that the Flood are still out there housed on a few Halo rings. But I am dredding their return in any capacity.
Although, I must admit. I am curious as to how The Flood would be implemented as a leader in Halo Wars 2 .
