This topic isn’t to say that you shouldn’t buy Halo 5, what it is to say is that you should wait it out.
It needs to be said that we should not preorder Halo 5, seeing how the MCCs launch was so horrible we need to show 343 we are not going to take it anymore! With the low preorder numbers it will make them work harder to improve their quality of game.
We all know that with this much of a fail at launch we can only expect the same to happen with Halo 5. We all know that 343 and Microsoft KNEW that they had a broken game when they released it, they just wanted to push it so they could meet the sales in November for the holiday season. They knew that people would buy the game simply because of the preorders, and that they would wait for fixes to the game.
Reasons why preordering isn’t needed:
There is no incentive to preorder Halo 5. (We have digital download if you want it right that same day)- With 343 working on this game as well and they struggled with MCC when the majority of this game was already created. (most bugs were in campaign)- When a fail game releases it will most of the time go for a much cheaper rate 1 to 2 weeks after release. (They are already offering 15$ off of the MCC for buying it in December)- Risk of game not being what they promise (beta isn’t the full game, it is controlled under certain items being released and not a full game play) IF YOU REALLY LOVE HALO THEN YOU WILL NOT PREORDER HALO 5, WE NEED TO SHOW 343 THAT WE ARE NOT A COMMUNITY TO BE TRIFLED WITH! 343 MUST BE PUNISHED FOR THEIR ACTIONS, IT WILL ONLY MAKE THEM BETTER AS A COMPANY!

That we can all agree with. The fact that developers think they can rely on us giving them preorders regardless of product quality is stupid.
I won’t be preodering Halo 5. I’ll play the Beta and then wait for a month (at least) after its official release to see how it fares.

The game is not even ready yet and you are -Yoinking!- about it being poor quality? There is still a FULL YEAR before release and they havent even announced any preorder bonuses yet (which im sure there will be) So you need to stop your whining and grow the hell up. This was the whole point of the beta. So you could give your feedback without kicking up a fuss over nonsense.

Telling people to grow up because they disagree with you, that’s very mature. Just because its a year from release doesn’t mean it will be bug free, and what, you want us to do something right before the game releases/is released so there is no time to fix it? Did you even watch the video, its about not preordering the game so 343 makes the game work. Does not matter if its beta or not, we are being proactive.

Technically a Beta is towards the end of a game’s creation process. The next step directly after that is the “going gold” process where the game has a Release Candidate and gets released to manufacturing and general availability. You’d be more right if we were shown Alpha or Pre-alpha footage, but you’re wrong.

No. When a lot of people preorder the game it shows that consumers are anticipating the release of a game and are willing to put money down on it, makes big companies like microsoft want to release the game as soon as posible, even if it is unfinished, so by the time Christmas comes they can increase sales. When we do not preorder, microsoft and other big companies get nervous so they are more inclined to make the game work well when it is released so people will buy it.
