But it completely should beat the battle rifle at close to mid range
ahahahhaa
Perhaps you need practice with aim???

That’s completely false. By your logic, the hydra on behemoth should be a power weapon because it’s on the rack.
However, just like the BR and the AR, it states it’s a kinetic weapon under the ammo bar.
Power weapons have power under their ammo bar and perform like power weapons. Every power weapon in this game has the potential to one tap without any assistance whatsoever.
The hydra requires 3 direct hits to kill.
I agree with this because I am that persons. If they released a BR starts playlist or ranked Slayer-only tomorrow then I would jump in happily and never touch AR starts again and be happy.
that’s why the made the AR longShot
they might add it sometime later in the multiplayer without the custom settings
im not sure if thats a good idea or not but might as well give it a try and see.
i would see it more in larger, more open maps, otherwise it would not be a good idea
Please, no. Im ok with AR, dont touch it. But a Long Range AR? No, its ok in the campaign, but not for Arena 4vs4 gamemode. Not even sure if it would fit in BTB.
i said OPEN MAPS.
4v4 just no. put it in BTB
not in the BTB map with wasp
Honestly, i think the long range AR would only fit in Fiesta, or Spartan OPS, Firefight and other co-operative gamemode player team against AI
You don’t “laser” people across the map with it.
If you can land a headshot with the AR from 300 meters you deserve it.
Leave it alone.
please tell me more about my personal game play experiences and how its “simply not true”, and possibly read the conversation before jumping in, because you absolutely can laser people across map with the ar with proper fire control and tracking, it really isnt hard to do at all, but it could be a desync issue that makes it feel that way, you would have seen that come up in the conversation if you read instead of jumping in and thinking you know someone else’s experience in the game.
No, you can not laser someone from across the map is some unfair way.
This simply is not true.
That is not what “power weapon” means at all. The Needler is a power weapon. The Heatwave and Bulldog are power weapons. I’m not talking about what kind of ammo they use. I’m talking about competing halo
Aim what? It beats the Battle Rifle by about a half second, it’s a power weapon in that context. You pick it up to counter the BR in hardcore.
Needs nerfed. Period the end.
Only people whining about it are the hold down RT crowd that knows they don’t rate.
No they’re not. The heatwave is a hardlight weapon and the needler is so watered down than you can hardly say it’s worth taking a slot in the weapon rack.
They clearly outlined what class they wanted each weapon to be in.
If it kills or has the potential to kill in one shot/melee, it’s a power weapon. Plain and simple
Just look at the list of power weapons in game. We’ve got the rocket, sniper, sword, hammer. All absurdly powerful weapons that kill in one shot(with the exception of the cinder.) This cannot be a coincidence.
Of course you would give a blanket generalizing statement to discredit anyone on the opposite side of the argument.
You haven’t even shot a video recording these long range encounters with the AR. Why should I take your word for it? You clearly are showing bias against anyone of a differing opinion.
I really have to ask if you believe the copy-pasty posts are really helping the argument.
But odds are you’re just gonna not reply or make any other posts in this thread anyway until you need to fill your quota again.
nobody is talking about what kind of ammo box in campaign they use, we’re talking about multiplayer.
The needler, heatwave, and bulldog for instance spawn on weapon racks that prevent them from respawning in ranked until the weapon itself despawns or runs out of ammo. That makes them power weapons by definition.
Here is the evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7c_9SH4kDA
So at the very least, those weapons are also power weapons. The other weapons are a gray area, sure, but they wouldn’t be in ranked if they weren’t worth picking up, and the reason they’re worth picking up is because they kill faster or easier than the BR, or have some strong utility purpose, making them POWER weapons. The SAW and Needler in Halo 4 and 5 are power weapons, for instance, despite being automatic weapons that don’t get one hit kills.
Also the definition of a power weapon changes over time. Look at the other games for context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TormBBW7VAE
