Do NOT Give Away or Trade Your 2XP Codes!

Just a friendly reminder to everyone making these topics.

Charity is all well and good.

But in this case, giving away or trading your codes in any other manner other than the ‘Gift’ option on the XP site is against the promotion’s rules. You run the risk of having those codes, and thus any you have previously entered, revoked if you do this.

Just for anyone wondering, this is exactly what it says in the rules:

> NO TRANSFER: Codes and/or Accounts cannot be sold, traded, bartered, assigned or transferred to or shared with a third party, auctioned through an online auction site, or otherwise or obtained through any source other than from one of the methods mentioned above or through the following “No Purchase Necessary” method of entry. Codes are null and void and will be rejected if not obtained through authorized, legitimate channels.

Just out of curiosity, how would they actually know?

I would rather not find out, and have the 68 games I’ve got so far revoked.

They probably wouldn’t, but since it’s against the rules, you aren’t allowed to do it on Waypoint.

If you and the trading partner happen to have multiple of the same codes entered, there could be 2 options.

  1. You live close, and go to the same store, and one of you takes the code without buying it. Which is not against the rules btw.

  2. You 2 have traded the codes.

To determine the later, all they need to do is look up your region/location. If you are not close enough in person to claim having the same bag of Doritos, you have obviously traded.

Furthermore, know that all Waypoint has to do is look at a code posted on Waypoint, give it to whoever is in charge of the XP promotion, find out what account redeemed it, and BAM, all codes on that account could be voided.

I’m just saying don’t take the chance.

This. They wouldn’t know if say, you gave a code to a friend face to face (unless they resort to some ultra-illegal privacy violations in your house), but if you show up on Waypoint advertising you have codes to trade, then you’re asking for trouble.

I think this is more for selling them online with Ebay and Craigslist etc.
Giving them out is your own business. Selling them is a whole other ordeal.

No. It’s not allowed on Waypoint.
