DO NOT DELAY CAMPAIGN FOR A 2ND YEAR RUNNING

Christmas is the biggest time of year for sales. Xbox games pass has had zero new games this year, that is new and fresh, delaying this campaign another 3 months, will hurt game pass subscribers and unlimited subscribers. I have also played Halo, solo every time and then gone onto co-op and that is the same for 90% of gamers, who have played halo past 20 years. The statistics do not lie. You cannot cater to everyone’s needs and be a successful company and business. Delay the campaign, for the minority and your PR, marketing and reputation is shot dead. And two years in a row, there will be no saving face. You either angry 90% of gamers or the minority 10% who will end up playing solo anyway.

Zero games?..checks a bunch of new games…that is false. I think Halo should launch this year still though.

It’s not delaying the game, it’s giving them the time they should have already had. Think about it, Slipspace Engine took over 3 years to complete, Covid to a chunk out of the remaining time, which is the usual time for a Halo game, and they’ve had to essentially make 2 games in one, one for pc and one for xbox. Not to mention that Forge is going to be the most ambitious one yet. So it’s not a delay to wait until Spring or Summer, it’s a rush to push it out the door in December. It’s not fair to ask them to release this game with only about 2.5 years of effective development time when it’s going to be the most ambitious Halo yet. They deserve more time

But if the rest of the game is done, then why post pone it for Forge and campaign co-op?

Because the game isn’t finished…
“the rest of the game” being done is not the same as “the game is compelte”

If you’re ok with unfinished products being released god speed sir

You’re right, I’m okay with playing everything else for 6 months then have access to forge, rather then to wait 6 months to play it all at once.

Because it will hurt the integrity of the game in general if they release it when it isn’t finished. People have been through a lot of unfinished releases, and if Halo does that too, it reflects poorly upon the franchise and the studio. I want the game to have the best momentum it can upon release, and I think that means releasing a content complete game first
