They are charging $18 and we cant even us all the affects from the bundle at the same time. We cant support them and give them $18 for a broken game. Reasons not to buy
The armor effects specifically should have been part of the Winter Contingency II event.
What the hell? $18 for snowy special effects? Why is that even the weekly shop item? Something like that should’ve been a daily.
At least if making a catalog of every item isn’t ready yet.
Yeah this is total BS. Why 343 does a bundle cost the price of two battle passes? For some effects that you can’t all put on at the same time. This is completely and utterly ridiculous and tone deaf.
343: we put out the winter update to try and build back some of that faith and respect we completely destroyed over the last year. So… Give us $20 for this.

Making this bundle costed 1/3th of the time and effort put into making Halo 3, do not miss it guys!
This is definitely the worst bundle so far. I think that 343 grossly overestimated how much we would pay. That being said, I’d expect it to go on sale soon (maybe this week). I also disagree with some of your reasoning for why we shouldn’t buy it.
This is a good reason. We need to not buy things that are greatly overpriced. Some things, such as fan favorites, can be priced higher but these have no reason to be priced this high.
This one I find to not be a big deal. Though an official Pit map would be nice, the community has already recreated and remastered the Pit anyways.
At times it can seem wonky, but overall it isn’t terrible (at least for me). The game overall is very playable (again, in my case) and I don’t think that that’s a good reason to discourage shop purchases.
If the bundle were reasonably priced, this wouldn’t be a great reason. It would be great to have multiple effects at the same time, but that costs development time. Said development time should be spent on fixing the game, not adding small cosmetic changes.
And $18 more than Halo Infinite’s multiplayer…
This is a hard pass for me. Armor effects are cool, but often times they rarely add anything to the armor other than some visual flair to it. The only one I found to be really useful came from an event, the Trap Masters Map.
I honestly feel that they’re kind of ugly personally lol. IMO I feel they could have put a little bit more effort into them into making them look better.

Yeah, I agree. 18 for some seasonal effects is genuinely not okay. I’m genuinely irked by this one.
Like. 18 bucks? For frosty antlers? Man, I love my wife a lot but even I could NOT justify that expenditure. (She loves deer.)

Iv’e spent a total of $0 in the shop and will remain that way, I live in Finland so don’t need no frosty coating as it’s frosty enough outside lol
