Do not buy a GPU to play this game

Good, glad to hear it helped.

This tells me that pre clean install, you had something or some things in the background that were running or trying to run.

This is most likely due to you running the game at 1080p.

Sounds like my old boss that I worked for at some paper company.

The MS store and Xbox/Gamepass app go hand in hand, and I actually prefer downloading my games from the Xbox app. I know there’s a lot of hate with the MS store/Xbox app in the PC community, but I actually have very few issues with it. When Halo was first released, I did have issues with it playing it from Gamepass and the Steam version was way more stable for me. I believe I redownloaded Halo in November from the Xbox app, and for the most part it’s been pretty stable.

Here’s how the Xbox version of Halo was for me around time of launch…

Yeah the multi is stable I had no problem too now. But it was impossible to download the campaign again. This is crazy, the store was thinking that it was already on my computer. The xbox app failed every time to launch the download forcing me to download « game service » (1,6 /5 stars evaluation) that I already had and updated. And when you finally decide to check or repair the game the app crashes and consider your game as unistalled so you can’t launch it anymore or unistall it properly it’s like disabled.
This platform is fully bugged and not only for Halo. A lot of comments in my country talks about the same problem for games like FH5 or Minecraft or any games…
At least steam is responsive and stable.

Such a shame to lost 60 bucks in this crap store. I don’t want to buy again from steam just to play with a friend.

CPU is usually the bottleneck on 1080p. If you can upgrade to a same gen i7 it would help a bit but even still a recent gen i5 would be way faster. But that’s quite a bit of money to get a new motherboard, cpu, cpu cooling system and ram.

Yeah… a MSI Z370 should match with 9th gen core but I don’t know. I will maybe save money and change the motherboard later.

That’s part of why I haven’t bought Infinite. I’ve only played the campaign via my brother’s Gamepass subscription on Xbox. If I do buy it, I want to be able to play on PC and Console without purchasing it twice, but the Windows Store version still feels like it’s in early beta. MCC is broken as well recently. Every time I start it up on my PC after a restart, it will fail to launch properly, I’ll have to open task manager and force the game to stop, then restart it to play it. The other reason is that I find the Infinite somewhat boring due to the open world. When I pick up a Halo game, wandering around is not what I’m looking for.

So I couldn’t even justify the $25 sale price a month ago.
