Do it like DICE!?

I hope Halo 4 is more than one disc like the rest of you but I also love that DICE has made a graphics pack that comes with battlefield 3 and makes the game look even better for the cost of some HDD space.
Not some battlefield fanboy, I just never seen this done with any other game on the Xbox 360 and I hope they do something like this or even better with Halo 4.

Halo in super HD would be very nice!

I was happy with DICE’s decision, and it’s great that it’s not even required!

With Video games getting better, and Xbox’s hardware getting older, maybe this is a good idea!

Do it like DICE…keep stuff locked on the disk that we have to pay extra for too!

Yes, I know, it’s probably EA but still. I don’t like things like Online Passes and DUC.

And I don’t think Halo works like that. THe HD pack for Battlefield will be because the game on PC is supported better, and the xbox is standardised.

Hey if Halo can look as good as BF3 and still be as great as it’s always been you got no argument from me.

Should have dedicated servers too :stuck_out_tongue: Halo 4 and up needs to have them or a serious re haul of the P2P system.

Yes, I can’t stand EA’s ways of doing but I don’t blame DICE for that, I just shake my head at them for being with EA and Your right about why we’re getting the HD pack but I just like the fact of whatever they cant fit on the disc they still give to us. For some reason I have a feeling Halo 4 will be on the PC as well.

Halos graphic engine is really old and needs some adjustments to it as well. To take full advantage of it they might need to put it on two disks or maybe even a new console which i highly don’t think they would though. But yes a two disk set is really what they need to up the graphics engine and to surface something new. So i say this is a good idea!

I’m all for giving the Campaign awesome visual upgrades but I actually prefer the multiplayer to be lacking when it comes to graphics. Performance>Graphics and currently with the 360s power we can’t have both.

That’s the point for two discs, one has the graphics on it, and is installed into the hard drive, and ran on top of the existing graphics (like Halo CEA kind of) as to not take away performance. Or at least in theory. We will have to wait for Battle Field 3 to show us.

Seems like a lot of work to me. A bunch of unnessesary things that will most likly cause more frustrations than anything. We’ll see when it comes out.

I hope halo 4 has more than one disc in that One disc will be Campaign and the other will be multiplayer.

Playing Campaign online? I’m not too sure.

Well… i was reading in GameInformer that there have been “rumors” started that Halo 4 might be released with the next gen in XBOX gaming they are calling it the XBN- X-BOX NEXT… as i said this is a “rumor” but i still think it would pretty cool they also said that it WILL be released on the 360 aswell if they decide to make the XBN

“Do it like DICE…keep stuff locked on the disk that we have to pay extra for too!”
And what exactly is that?? If you didn’t notice Back to Karkand was a 2.19Gb download. Nothing on BF3 disc was used as DLC. Know the facts first.

“The HD pack for Battlefield will be because the game on PC is supported better, and the xbox is standardised”
Wrong again. The HD content was made as a HDD install because of the transfer rate of DVD to the CPU, if you haven’t noticed the PS3 version doesn’t have this install.

“Yes, I know, it’s probably EA but still. I don’t like things like Online Passes and DUC”
I’m assuming you mean DLC but if you haven’t noticed all the halo games on 360 have had DLC. Also if you’re buying the game new the online pass shouldn’t worry you as it is included in the game.

DICE did that because they were clenched for disc space on the 360. It really wouldn’t make sense for Halo 4 to have that problem.

The first disc should be campaign and firefight (like ODST), while the second disc contains everything multiplayer related. That way we can have more multiplayer content and a longer and/or better campaign.
