hi.
I have a bought copy of the master chief collection. i also have a copy of reach that i bought. I can play both independently.
Since last week or so, reach is part of mcc. However, when i try to start reach from mcc, i’m guided to the store. Do i really need to buy reach once more to play it from mcc? If not, what do i need to do in order to play reach from mcc?

Yes because the Xbox 360 version is completely separate from the MCC. Luckily they are only charging $10 for it. So it’s not gonna break the bank.
If you did buy the 360 version right before the MCC version came out Microsoft might be willing to give you a refund for it so you can buy the the new version.
For the Xbox version of the MCC, Reach’s multiplayer is a free addition with Campaign and Firefight costing $10 (USD).
As said above the 360 and MCC versions are completely separate so you’ll either need to buy it again or use the appropriate Xbox Game Pass.
