I’ve been having some stroke of bad luck and losing some matches. I died more than earning kills, especially at tactical slayer matches.

Yeah, I just suck at multiplayer. Go figure.
Naw my dude I wouldn’t outright label anyone as sucking in this particular game, cause even the Most Veteranized Halo Players such as myself can have a bad match every now and then it just happens, the only way to improve is patience and plenty of practice. Train with weapons in Weapon Drills get yourself experienced with weapons that are usually out of your comfort zone, or head into Training mode and practice against bots, that’s all it really takes for anyone to better their game is patience, and practice, but always keep in mind that everyone has a bad game, perfect example look at the Most Elite Players in Halo Esports they do excessive amounts of training and even they can’t win all the time. All I’m saying is don’t get yourself discouraged keep at it 
If you want to get better at a specific part of the game like aiming and gunplay you can play with bots in custom games. The reason I say custom games is because you can add more bots and have a map with options for long range engagements and customize it to how it can specifically help with what you want to learn. This the se thing with all the different things to learn in halo infinite.you could even try to make an obstacle course to practice movement and tiny tricks maps have.
Also I find if you just stay calm and actually stay focused my aim is more on point. (Basically less shouting = better shooting)
If you can’t shoot teleporting enemies are punch a ghost, then I’m sorry bud, you suck. I don’t make the rules.
Play to have fun. That’s all I can say when it comes to Halo.
.75 kd isn’t good but could be worse. I have 3 friends who are worse than you. As long as you’re having fun that’s all that matters.
For tactical slayer, biggest improvement you would likely see is making sure you know where enemies are likely to be. Identifying spawns, player tendencies and being able to look at your teams location and knowing the other teams likely location.
Tactical slayer is so different than ever other game mode with the one shot kill. Continue to aim ahead and understand respawns and positioning.
Obviously the most important thing is whether or not you’re having fun. I don’t play ranked because I know I’m bad, but I still have a lot of fun in BTB.
