Do Helmets and armor come with all their variation

I am want to get Halo 5, and I’m using this website to customize my spartan beforehand. One thing that I can’t figure out is whether you get all the variations of a helmet or armor with the initial unlock.

No, you unlock every variation separately. It is far from the best system.

No each variation is a different unlock. You get them via req packs. Word from the wise get all silver then go gold packs
