Do DLC maps come up?

I got some microsoft points for christmas yesterday. I was thinking of getting the War Games Map Pass but I was wondeering do they come up much? I know that there’s a dedicated playlist but do they come up in the other playlists? In Halo: ReachI bought all the map packs and was very disappointed to see that they hardly ever cam up in matchmaking

So if anybody has bought the crimson map pack could you let me know how often themaps come up? Ay replies are greatly appreciated.

Only if everyone in the lobby has them. Which, in a 4v4 game, about 1/30.

They do come up in the other playlist but only if everyone in the match has the DLC. For which the chances of that happening are pretty slim. I only had it once that the Crimson maps popped up outside of the Crimson playlist.

The dlc maps from Reach popped up much more often than the DLC from halo 4 does. Even when compared to the first dlc for Reach.

So don’t get your hopes up on seeing them if you don’t want to play that playlist.

Alot more than reach but less than 3, if that helps.

Why can’t they just match you with people who have the same DLC? Call of Duty does it and it’s worked for the past 4 games.

I dont think buying the season pass is worth it.

Crimson map pack was mediocre, im still waiting to see the majestic and castle, they might be a flop like crimson and i wont get em. never know though

Sound thee same as Reach. I guess I’ll leave it then. Pretty disappointed but thanks for the help lads.

I have them all the time. It’s not “if everyone has them.” The search algorythm tries to group you with people that have them. I get a Crimson DLC choice in 1 out of every 3-4 games. I like the new maps so I would get them if I were you.

Don’t do it. They all suck except for one of them anyway

I was a little worried as well because in Reach the dlc never showed up, but I was surprised to find that the dlc comes out frequently.

Harvest comes up in 4v4 way too often, as it’s a bad map.

That (and sticky magnetism) are my two main complaints, the overabundance of bad maps.

The only 2 maps I enjoy are Adrift and Haven, with Abandon being tolerable. Complex and Solace are bad for 4v4. If I wanted to play with vehicles, I’d go into Big Mantis Battles

Yep, and when they do I quit and start matchmaking again…
