Do Custom Challenges give everyone Cr

Do Challenges give every invited player Cr because me and my two friends set up a challenge ( I set it up and invited him ) we both completed the challenge and turned it in but only my friend got the credits, the thing is when he turned his in he had over the ammount needed and more kills than me ?

Are these challenges like a vs thing or do the credits get payed out to everyone ?

You both need to complete them & turn them in to be awarded, I am not so sure that if your friend challenged you but you completed it after him would make the credits void.
