eg: Recon vs EOD
No.
k, thx. just wondering
Armor permutations (or being male or female) have absolutely NO effect on the Spartan hitboxes.

Same with Elites, your hitboxes graft to the shape of Minor armor, even when you use Ultra or General.
I find it humourous when I see people use the female spartan with default armor thinking they won’t get hit as much. I actually talked to one after a series of people using it just to make sure I wasn’t imagining it… He said thats why he did it and couldn’t believe it when I told the hitboxes are the same.
While they don’t affect the hitbox I do think the stay-puffed marshmallows running around on the small to mid-range maps do kinda stick out like a sore thumb, especially when using inclement weather. I dunno why but I always find myself targeting the beefcakes more when I’m not playing firefight.
Well one has to agree that smaller configuration make for a slightly smaller visual target?
But yeah if the visual representation of the player were just blocks they would all be identical.
Spartan helmets, no.
But for some reason, I find elites way easier to snipe in the head.
They don’t make hitboxes smaller.
HOWEVER, to the uninformed, or even a person caught up in the heat of the moment, the smallest armor set possible can have a PLACEBO effect on your enemy, giving you a SLIGHT advantage. Useful in SWAT.
Elites are sniper food…but I find myself sniping a spartan in the head and he only gets nicked <_<.
