Do casuals even want AAs?

Im inclined to think they do not.

If there’s one thing I think COD shows it’s that casual FPS players like easy kills and fast movement from one encounter to the next. AAs are pretty defensive in nature and prolong each encounter while making each kill more difficult.

I don’t really think the game needs them either. You have perks, and weapon unlocks and exp and all this stuff adding to customisation. AAs seem like overkill.

Killstreaks and all that stuff, some people may not like the idea of that in halo but it kind of is the modern standard. AAs are not. Powers are not really something you see in popular FPS games. You don’t see people going invisible or flying or seeing through walls in COD. It’s kind of fun to use that stuff, but it’s really frustrating to have it used against you. I just don’t think it’s something that really resonates with your average player.

So it’s supposed to be like cod now?

My brother, a casual player, loves spawning with the Jet Pack. Hope that answers your question.

Hey, just quit. It’s Halo. We have the friggin’ terms use them. Don’t create false equivalencies to support your ridiculous opinions.

You’re generalizing people based on no evidence…

“Casuals” don’t even like Gaming all that much. They’re only using it to pass the time every now and then when they have nothing else to do.

Yes, I do want Armor Abilities. Come up with better arguments.

Have you not played or heard any of this year’s futuristic shooters? Ghost Recon, Blops 2? High-tech gadgets are all over the place now.

As long as they are implemented in a good way and make the game fun, the I don’t see why not.

I think an AC 130 would be a bit more annoying than a little jetpack.

uh…define casual

Are you implying that “non-casuals” don’t want armor abilities?

im casual, and i like AAs

PS
my definition of casual is people that dont care about winning, kd, rank, ect. but just play the game to have fun and enjoy the story.

To the contrary, casual players love panache and fireworks. The more visual distractions, the better.

Casuals would actually dislike a game that was too simplistic for the sake of balance.

Of course CoD Casual players don’t like AAs. That’s why they are playing CoD and not Halo.

Halo Casuals though?

That seems to be the goal with every other addition.

It doesn’t because that is meaningless anecdotal evidence.

Why do you post things that even you know aren’t true?

I would categorize myself as both a casual and competitive player. I play to win, but also to just have fun and goof off at times, and I want armor abilities.

And CE borrowed from other shooters at the time as well.
