I think skins are cool and all, but I never had any intention to use them ever since they were annouced. But now, I fear that skins are replacing the secondary color option. I hope that they coexist in game, but I also hope that only one can be on at a time. I just really wish 343 hasn’t changed this though.
If you haven’t got a skin on, it will work just like Halo 3 & Reach, if you have a skin on, then it will change the primary & secondary colours on your skin.
I’m thinking we will have regular colour layouts without a skin(or maybe there are always default skins), and than the skin would replace secondary.
It would be cool if the skin, or at least some skins, could be a tertiary colour.
Don’t worry, if you use a skin you can still change the primary and secondary colors.
From what I have seen the skins simply change the pattern in which your primary and secondary colors are applied they don’t override them.
