They are adding features post launch. So there’s always hope that they’ll put in small things like additions to forge (they said they’d do this) and Proximity Voice.

That really sucks considering that there are still a lot of dislikes in these discussions such as: armor being one of the main ones.
I’m not sure they ever did. Whatever your opinion on the community, it’s pretty disheartening that all of our news outside of major announcements comes from gaf or team beyond rather than our home turf. It gives the impression that this is just a place to scream into the wind while the big boys get the actual input.

People love to complain I’m so looking forward to what awaits I loved the feel of movement in the beta and the positive’s outway the negatives 
as of now no due to the game just going gold but there will be a day one update more than likely and over the course of the 8 months following release there will be updates so I say don’t stop giving feed back.

There’s always going to be dislikes and complaints, no matter what.

Just read the news or blog posts. They post info here all the time.
If you are looking for big changes inmediately, like releasing Forge early, you will be disappointed. However, this game is supposed to get alot of support over at least 8 months.
You can still give feedback. But, expect a bit of delay as they focus on getting the game out the door and working on finalizing the first wave of REQs and maps.

But where do you go for clarification? Where do you go for discourse with the developer on their news and decisions? It ain’t waypoint, that’s for sure.

How is armor still a sore point.
Armor customization might be. But you have 175 different armors to play with.
Nah, there will be post-launch support and people will probably post tons of suggestions here where 343i can listen to them.
Besides, I don’t think the main point of the forums is purely for suggestions for Halo 5. I think that this place is where everyone can share their opinions, debate, and just have a good time talking about their favorite video game franchise.

The forums are for community discussion first, and direct feedback a distant second. If your only motivation to post is the idea that a developer might read your post, in my opinion you’re missing the important part of being part of a community. There’s also the possibility that you’ll end up disappointed and bitter, because there are thousands of people with feedback and ideas, so chances are that your particular feedback won’t impact anything.
Whenever I’ve joined a community, I’ve done it with the intention of discussing with people who share my interests. Anything I write is for other members to comment on. I’m not expecting the admins to get anything out of, or even read my post. I think that’s quite a healthy philosophy to have, and makes you realize that forums are much more than just a place to attempt to get your voice heard.
So, yes. These forums matter because they are a place for Halo fans to discuss a game they like.
I don’t see these forums as feedback/wining-haven. These are the forums to discuss stuff and share opinions. There are certain feeback holes here and there and I still want people to discuss issues etc, but a lot of the forum is about stuff like the Halo universe, lore etc as well. And I guess they are Reading these forums more than we Think. As long as we are constructive.
