99.9% of the time I see a thread talking about how Halo 4 is failing, has a low population, blah blah blah, I always notice that it’s made by an average Waypoint forumer.
One thing that I notice is that whenever a mod is participating in one of these kinds of threads, it’s always a post supporting the game, or he/she closing the thread.
For example, the other day when Halo moved to the #4 spot, one mod posted like two paragraphs explaining that Halo 4 at number 4 isn’t because it’s bad…but how the other games are doing better, meaning that Halo 4 isn’t failing despite it’s plummeting populations and tons of complaints.
So my question is this: Do all mods do their best to NOT express how they really feel about the game just to maintain their status? Or does EVERY mod love Halo 4 like it’s the best thing ever?
It’s not that big of a deal tbh, but it’s just kind of odd that I’ve never seen a moderator go out of his/her way to explain why they think Halo 4 isn’t as good as the others ones, or just not good at all.
****If there are some Mods who have done this, my mistake, but I’m going based on personal observations.
There are moderators that have their own opinion but I think they support constructive criticism, respect and fair discussion on threads above all else.
When you see a thread locked, it’s usually for a good reason.

I’m not talking about when they close threads that get out of hand.
I’m saying that I’ve never seen a Mod say “Halo 4 sucks” or something along those lines. I’m curious as to if there are Mods who are vocal about it.

Maybe they like Halo 4 or they are too busy trying to make waypoint a good place to bother ranting about Halo 4.

Moderators on this forum are hypocrites and dictators compared to elsewhere.

Sadly, it doesn’t do any good. These forums are still filled with stupidity.

Work closely with devs? I thought mods are volunteers…

They used to lock threads for no reason but they didnt share the same view as the OP. They tryed that with me and I went all out and made a huge deal out of it. I messaged all of the waypoint staff and for the first time my voice was heard. Now it seams like they are pritty good at respecting peoples views fairly.

This is pretty much said on every game forum by those who don’t like the game the forum is for.
The reason why those with opposing views get locked is often because such discussions turn into flaming and bating, suffer from a great lack of constructive criticism, and largely just become an echo-chamber of negativity.
This isnt always the ‘opposing’ group’s fault, as fans also agrily rush to the defence of their game. A reasonable constructive criticism thread can be derailed by some jerk who just spews hateful platitudes toward the game with no substance.
Moderators are here to keep things civil, and alot of negative topics swiftly stop being so.
> Why would you moderate forums of something you didn’t like? Im sure theres a few tho.
Well most of them have been mods before Halo 4 is out, and even if they were new, I’m not saying that they can’t mod. I’m just finding it odd that I’ve never seen a negative Halo 4 post by a Mod. It’s as if the game 100% perfect in their eyes.
