It seems every spartan ops game i get into 1 or 2 people do this. They rush like no other to get their kills and then just hide

I just usually play solo since my friends never play halo -.-

yeah to get the max xp in spartan ops (5950) all you have to do is get 10 kills and the match has to play on for about 9 mins. That was their “buff” to people that afked before since before you didnt have to do anything and you would get max xp

I would hope they don’t. I really don’t care anymore if they go hide, so long as they aren’t EMPing my rides or trying to run me over. In the end Spartan Ops is really boring and basically an XP farm. I was hoping it would be something special but in reality it’s simply all the bad I saw in Reach’s co-op campaign with randoms. Only now I have commentary from characters I would like to see shot.

So really AFks are the least of my problems.

When I find people not playing in spartan ops, I get a warthog and run them over/push them out in the open danger, or find other creative ways to entertain myself without helping them complete the mission.

It happened in reach firefight, it happens in halo 4 spartan ops. As long as you get a few kills, even 1 will do the banhammer will think you’re playing. At least that’s how it was in reach, maybe the banhammer got an upgrade. If it upsets you, just try and betray them and also the stuff they don’t shoot means more commendations for you!

Why would you do this?

The missions only take 8 minutes on average if you all work together, there is no reason to afk and cause them to last like 15. You make XP slower if you afk.
